I just realized everyone but me went from #20 to #1, I started with my favorites, instead (you backward a** mofos ) so I just wanted to point that out so you wouldn't tally up the points for mine "backward". Not that i think you're a moron or anything, but it tricked me, I was reading a few people's and i thought it was the opposite of what it actually was. So, clearly, I'm a moron.... But anyway, great idea, Hawk.

Hard album to rank. Sometimes I focus on the raucous spirit of certain songs, other times I focus on the lyrical and/or emotional complexity of others.

But, more often than not, I listen for both aspects.

For me, no one "owns" this album... it's a great representation of some of the best aspects of each member's individual stamp, and the removal of any one of those key components would leave the album lacking.
If you listened to just Stevie's songs, it might prove a little too slow and morose. Just Christine's, and it's in danger of being too saccharine. Just Lindsey's, and you might spend your time searching for a melody or a complete thought.

But, put their strengths together, and you have an incredibly well-rounded album. The emotional weight of the Nicks songs, the love-won and love-lost dynamics of the McVie songs, and the ballsy ebullience of the Buckingham songs.
'Tusk' has that "something for everyone" aspect that I'm always trumpeting about Fleetwood Mac, in spades.
