Default Isn't It Midnight

Does anyone have any live clips of Isn't It Midnight? I know this song was part of the TITN tour as well as the BTM tour. The only clip I have is the TITN DVD.

This is my favorite Mac song, and it is great on the album, but so much better live! Thanks!

Lindsey's harmonies and the outro solo absolutely rock on the original. What I'd do to see them all perform it again just once with him. enough said.

They rehearsed it for The Dance and it didn't work.

Here's a live version from '87- http://www.yousendit.com/download/Um...SEJZY1NGa1E9PQ I'm sure others have better ones.

That is actually pretty good. It is such a great song. One of their most underrated songs, not only on TITN, but in FM history!

Wow - I did not know they had rehearsed for The Dance. Wonder how come it didn't work. Too bad as that would have awesome!

Tdfwiner - I totally agree! I'd literally do anything to see that song performed once more with all 5 of them!

They did play it live on some of the later dates of that tour...didn't they? Or am I remembering this wrong?

How do you know that?

I don't know. I think they just had the same Setlist for the whole The Dance tour with the exception of a few small changes. If I remember correctly, I think those changes had something to do with Second Hand News.

But, if they did perform that at the later dates of that tour - Then WOW.. I hope there are clips out there somewhere!

Yes, LukeA - I am wondering the same thing... How do you know they rehearsed Isn't It Midnight and how come it didn't work? The only thing I could think of is that maybe Christine couldn't handle the vocals anymore... But I truly doubt that.

It's one of my favourites from the TITN tour also. I love watching that video and seeing Mick and Rick just playing off each other and rockin' it!! It's a great shuffle beat and I think Rick and Billy really made it their own (with Christine's killer vocal of course, I mean from a musician's P.O.V.).

It's definitely underrated, both on the album and live. I totally agree.

That word ... I do not think it means what you think it means.

I love it, too. Luke, do you know something about why the band decided not to keep it in the set after rehearsals? Why would it not work? Fleetwood Mac had been playing it live for several years already, & Lindsey is the guy who put the original track together & the original guitar on it. To say it "didn't work" is to confound my sense of reason.

No, it was not performed on The Dance Tour. The only change to Christine's material was replacing OMH with Oh Daddy.

Chris could still handle the vocals, but I suspect it was more a case of trying to make it work instrumentally more to Lindsey's taste in a live setting. The "it didn't work in rehearsal" excuse was, of course, also given for Little Lies when they were preparing for The Dance. Great shame.

Ask Lindsey.

He may not like the fact that Rick and Billy did such a great job and that fans responded so well to them on those tours. "Little Lies" rocked and "Isn't It Midnight" was just killer on both tours. Maybe Lindsey doesn't want to look back on that material or maybe the whole band doesn't want to since they aren't doing anything from that album this tour.

It was just me getting tired about SOME criticisms, made by SOME people. No problems!
