Default Christine Interview soon on BBC Radio 2??

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but..............

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode...Isle_of_Wight/

I'm just listening back to Sundays Johnnie Walkers Sound sof the 70's radio show on the iplayer. If you go to 28:45, right after Johnnie plays You Make Loving Fun, Johnnie mentions meeting Christine last Tuesday and also that he's interviewed her and it will be broadcast soon on Radio 2. Will be interesting.

Also the age old question. Will she play at the upcoming UK shows.

Christines response - "If they ask me..............i'll play!"

Captured the relevant parts and posted on my Tumblr

The woman needs to stop teasing and just jump on stage.

Wow, she really is emerging after a very long break.

Well, she is getting rather lonely in there. Glad to see her come out of the shadows of retirement.

Question I have is has Christine been interviewed anywhere in recent times?

I do look forward to Johnnie interviewing her, he is pretty good at this sort of thing. It is encouraging that she is coming out of the shadows. Radio 2 interview is quite a major thing, i wonder if it will be as part of Johnnie's Sound of the Seventies or as a stand alone show.

I think this would be the first major interview we have of Christine alone. The most recent quotes from her before this would be the ones on the "Excess all areas" article.

Agreed. Johnnie was there back in the day and knows the band quite well, I think; he 'gets' FM and loves them too.

I thought I was the only one around here who eschewed that, "I just hope she's happy in retirement. She deserves it," line. I've always thought that I should be happy first.

I'm not one of those, "if that's what she wants" kind of fans. I always kind of want what I want.

Then it is settled. Remember last spring--Mick had to agree to stop asking her!

He only agreed to stop asking her to rejoin the band. He didn't say he would stop asking her to play on stage as a cameo.

But I agree that it's settled she will make an appearance in London on the stage with them. I just wish we knew how many nights and which ones.

^ But you'll never know with this band. I know she's gonna do at least 2 nights. But which one of those, no idea.

Christine's misery is for ours to gain, that much we know.

Same with me, for the most part.

For me, the best way to get Chris to rejoin (if they could) is for one of them (Lindsey would be the best candidate for this) to offer working on her songs. Lindsey asked Mick to help out on his solo project, and you how that turned out.

I'm all for respecting her wishes. But I believe there is more left in this great legendary tank... We shall see.. I have never had any hope before this..

Same here. She's getting around again, with this interview, plus appearing in Stevie's In Your Dreams documentary premiere. Something is brewing, and the brew is gonna be good.
