Yes, I agree. I always got a kick out of her saying in 1995 that she would have never voted for him but she was honored he used the song. That's pretty rare.
It did turn into an anthem. The Mac always played it early in their set. Chris had it as the last or encore on her solo tour. Then the Mac used it as their encore ever since. During the farewell tour in 1990 it had the arena bouncing as their first encore.

All of the games I’ve seen this weekend had at least one Christine song going into break.

Same. I also caught Go Your Own Way going into a break during the Vikings/Jets game.

Jim Nantz called her Christine McVEIGH while Don’t Stop played

I've heard some "Christie", too. That drives me nuts.

Yep same. But to be fair, I’ve heard “Christie” at Fleetwood Mac concerts. And at a concert where she was in the band!

CBS just posted this unaired interview with Christine from 2014. Her answers are so honest and considered - none of the evasion, psychobabble or word salads you might have got from... other band members...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWmUd115R7U

She really was their greatest asset.

I have to stop watching because every time I see her eyes... it hits me.

What a beautiful soul... uhhhh!! Thanks for posting.. I'll try and get through it.

That was fun to watch. I didn't have to stop myself from weeping.

I love how Christine recognizes Lindsey making her songs “Fleetwood Mac” songs.

This was a great interview. She seemed so calm, clear, and happy. I especially liked the way she politely demolished Mick’s “sold my soul to the company store” cliche.

This was eight years ago. She seemed much younger than she looked and sounded on her “Songbird” documentary. Something might have been ailing her even then.
