But it's under the garage for soundproofing. It has a bathroom, kitchenette, state-of-the-art recording equipment and a soundboard so big it had to be lowered in with a crane. I think they could make do there in a pinch.

Ummmm....Molly was born before Molly Fishkin, who is now 23, so she's at least 24-26!

Of course they could... but we're talking about people who rented out a 10,000 square foot Bel Air mansion to record their last album. They aren't gonna work beneath a garage... no matter how fancy it is. Stevie alone would probably throw a wrench into this because it wouldn't be neutral ground... it would be on her frenemy Lindsey's home turf, so she'd feel like the power balance would be thrown off. Plus, do you think she'd want to be under Miss Kristen's roof, surrounded by her home decorations and such? Not a chance! Stevie's never even been to Lindsey's house... and I doubt she's about to start.

Oh, she'd go if asked.

Maybe because its 12+ years into my fandom, i've reached that point where it's like...."really?...it's been 30+ years and you still can't burry the hatchet....really?" you did 135 shows against your will on a miserable tour.....really now? I'm 25 and feel more mature than half of them, stevie especially.

More than anything, the exception being lindsey....I always get the drift that none of them realize just how darn lucky they are to be able to go out and still perform and still sell as many tickets as they do. For the most part they have a huge sense of entitlement. If it was really about the music they would do a run of shows at the Fillmore, or one of the big theatres in Chicago...and probably sell out each night. But I guess that couple of extra millions is more important, besides....even stevie said that we the fans are the ones that will steal all the songs on the internet so there is no money to be made there, pff burn.

Mike cambell just remarked recently that in the beginning the heartbreakers had to prove why they deserve to be there and now they have to prove why they are still relevant and deserve to be there..and for the most part since 1997 with SYW being the exception, what exactly have they done except justify themselves on the same things they have been for the past 15-20 years?? As artists you can create great art which will prove your relevance, but all great artists must continue to grow.

Don't get me wrong, still a huge fan, still love the music. I saw them on this last tour..but cheap seats this time....and I apologize because I know I'm preaching to the choir and this is probably the same b*tch that half the people here, it's nothing anybody hasn't heard before.

I guess in what would be a fairly short period of time (12 years) between the SYW fan club fiasco, countless cash grabs, lamenting about miserable tours that gave them big bucks and backhanded comments to the fanbase, the whole enchilada (or fajita round-up) is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

ok end of rant.
You made some great points....can't disagree......I hear ya....

I definetly believe another leg next year for summer on the unleashed tour the sheds out door venues i would think they would play like they did with Say You Will Tour but that would be my guess.

I just had to post and say that this:

Quote:
her frenemy Lindsey
Totally cracked my **** up after a long pre-Thanksgiving week. I love it, nothing else can sum their relationship up better. Not even 'star-crossed former lovers' or any of that BS.

ON-topic, well, I'd like to think that the album will be discussed at least, maybe a venue picked, somewhere the rest of us will never guess, maybe a few demos recorded or worked on.

Realistically, I think they all need to come down from their ivory towers and make this album happen, because if they procrastinate and BS and fight again it's truly the end for my favourite band. I will not see another greatest hits tour without a new record.

A couple guesses what they may do in 2010- I'd think they'd try for a Superbowl Half Time spot or something high-profile to cap off all the touring they did in '09. I think they'd entertain offers from casinos to do a handful of dates (Mohegan Sun, Vegas, Atlantic City)- maybe for a total of 6 shows or so, if the price is right. I think they may go ahead with a reissue of old material, and possibly try out 2 new tunes, promoting on Letterman and selling directly from their own website. IF they are pleased with the reception ($$) the 1 or 2 songs get, I think they'd attempt to record a cd throughout the year and possibly get something out by September of 2010. But I don't think so.
I believe at this moment, Stevie is at her typewriter or handwriting a very supportive (and sincere) letter of loyalty to Jimmy Iovine, his divorce became final today. And I believe by the end of 2010, we will see Stevie SOLO on Interscope, with Iovine likely well-aware that his Stevie connection circa 1980 paved the way for him to become the jillion-billionaire that he is today. I think only an Iovine intervention with Interscope can save whats left of Stevie's recording career, and that it would be easier to 'manage' her recording career comeback than it would be to manage Fleetwood Mac's.
I think Interscope is what's on the horizon for 2010- I'd be thrilled if it were for both Fleetwood Mac AND for Stevie solo, but I think it will be for her solo. I think we also may see a lot of demos from Stevie released as a boxset through Interscope, before a new solo cd from Stevie or a new Mac cd.
I think if there is to be a renaissance of Stevie or Fleetwood Mac as recording artists, it had best be started in 2010 on Interscope. Stevie can still pull it off at 62, but another 2 or 3 years can't go by without new product, it will be too late by then, at 65, for her to 'start' again.
So, for 2010--- back to the gypsy that she was- alligning with the right people to revive her recording career. I hope Fleetwood Mac jumps this time, if Interscope dangles.
I am almost certain Stevie knows Iovine's label is her best shot.

Nikolaj, as far as I can tell Interscope is only interested in hip hop musicians right now. I think Jimmy's days of working with Stevie are a thing of the past. Also Jimmy was a huge success LONG before he produced Bella Donna.

You're right, because I think despite all the negative stuff she spews, she really would like to be Lindsey's friend. But would she seriously spend a year and a half of her life recording Mac music in his garage basement? C'mon... you know better!

I think they'll either just take lots of time off before doing anything or decide to throw a few more US shows in( I hope)!
