Oh Daddy is the worst song on Rumours
I'm qualified to post on this because I was listening to Rumours driving to and from work today :P

I never liked Oh Daddy all that much until today, when I listened properly and had already been singing all the other Rumours tracks.

I actually knew 90 odd percent of the lyrics, which really surprised me, and I'd forgotten all about the awesome echo of the "you're so strong" lyrics, followed by the soulful "Everything you do is just alright, And I can't walk away from you, baby.. If I tried. I also love Christine's vocals on the album generally. And Tusk, even more.

And the song, like Silver Springs, has a very unique and "un-pop-like" quality to it that I really dig.

So, I like it now. But there's no way (for me) that it's even in the best 5 tracks of the album. Come on people, there's Don't Stop, Go Your Own Way, Dreams, You Make Lovin' Fun, The Chain, Gold Dust Woman and more.

I think all the weak stuff was left off Rumours. Thank God SS is just too long, we've been over this, yes it's a masterpiece, but we have it now.

The Tango album is an exercise in tracks that should/shouldn't make it onto final albums. Whoever decided which tracks/cuts of tracks made it onto the album should be flogged. I would cite examples but there's way way too many (and most know anyway).

This cracks me up. Can someone make a banner that shows Lindsey at the mercy of the whip?

Sacrilege, I know
How, my friend, could you not like GDW?! Oh well....I guess Silver Springs is my answer for this thread's question...

The Dealer should have been put on an album. It wouldn't have fit Rumours, so I can understand it being left off of there, but put it on any of Stevie's solo albums pre-RAL and it would have been perfect.

i love tom petty, but i'd way rather have the dealer on WH than IWRTY.

i think the dealer could have even fit on RAL. take the nightmare, please.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about IWRTY either. I usually skip it when I play WH. It's too TPATH flavoured to fit on RAL, imo.

I'd rather replace Nightmare with RAL-era Rose Garden.

How many more acronyms can I use in this post?
