The "Just Perfect: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection" contest continues with the Round 2 songs from Christine McVie and Tango in the Night.

I voted for Everywhere and Little Lies. The other two are great songs, but I wouldn't consider them definitive.

Interesting about Got a Hold on Me as it was the only song from the '84 album to make it Round 2 and it's below 50%.

I suppose a general statement to claim would be that Christine didn't have that definitive solo hit song and that her Mac songs are "better" than her solo material. Then again, In the Meantime has four songs in Round 2!

I'm still deciding what to vote for.

I consider Got a Hold on Me a solo hit. But I suppose ephemeral. It seemed to get a nice share of the spotlight at the time, but has receded from memory now. I recall hearing it on the radio about 10 years ago and being shocked, because after the first years after its release, it seems to have been forgotten.

But it's one of those I'd love to hear FM try its hand at.

Here's how it breaks down for me...

Got a Hold on Me - Christine solo top 10 hit, but not favorite of mine
Little Lies - top 10 Mac hit and one of my fav's
Everywhere - top Mac hit, but a somewhat annoying song for me
Isn't It Midnight - not a hit, but one of my favorite top Mac songs

Little Lies was easy to vote for. I also went with Got a Hold on Me and Everywhere.

Still got awhile before voting closes.
