Sitting here at work, wishing I was at home napping.

Fuming because my credit card sent me a notice they are going up to variable rate on me, which right now is 27.99%! I get to reject it though so long as I never use the card again. Consider it done. I have to assume this is because I went over limit last month. The reason I went over limit was because after my purchases (car repairs) they then added the finance charge which put it over limit. I hate these credit card companies. They're blood suckers.

Ooh that SUCKS. That's really high rate - the variable on one of my cards just got upped as well - and I threw a FIT because it was for no reason - except when I called to complain - there IS a reason. I no longer use the card (so I can pay it off) so to penalize me they upped the rate.

I told them to suck it and transferred the balance to a lower card - of course that was after I went rounds with them. I've been a loyal and good customer for over 6 years, never one late payment, never over-limit - yet the upped my rate substantially. I HATE credit card companies - I wish I had never gotten one....I'm trying to get them paid off though....which as I'm sure lots of us know is way fun.

Anyway - I just returned from the gym

I only lost .5 pound again this week I'm getting discouraged because I'm losing so damn slowly.

That is so good though. Just think about that sort of weight loss over time. That'll be 8 more pounds by Christmas. You will probably lose more rapidly though, that is probably the least you'll lose in a week.

I got back from the gym a little while ago too, yeah! For sh*ts and giggles I weighed myself before and after my workout. After I weighed .6 pounds less! I guess I lost a lot of water weight and I even drank some water while working out. So the moral to this story? Weigh yourself after your workout!

I remembered the change I made that helped me lose the last 5 lbs, I added weight training my legs. They are really starting to shape up! And Amber, I went up on my calf weight today! Making progress, hehe.

I like working out on the weekend because there is no time pressure and it isn't as crowded.

And the credit card rate? Yeah, it's total ass. I can't believe your card did that to you. I'm in so much debt but really trying to finally get a handle on it. So of course I get hit with this. Some law must've changed though because I get to reject the change. I really wish we could get some people in office who would fight these bastards for us. They seriously do not need more money because they make money hand over fist off of our backs.

I am staying in the house on this beautiful sunny day because I don't feel good. I have a ton of things to do like look for a new carry-on bag and get some new fall clothes. I need some cosmetics and I need to get a few more secure digital cards for my cameras. I am going to order the cards later online because this place closes for the Jewish holidays and I want to make sure that I have them for my trip in Oct.
I just found out yesterday that I will be working just about every week night the last week of September. Good for money for my trip but it does not give me much time to get ready for it. Looks as if I will be doing a lot of online shopping.

Yeah - I JUST started working out more regularly. It sucks - a couple of years ago I was such the gym rat - I weighed less than I ever have -and looked fabulous - I was even getting ab definition!!!

Then I started eating like a pig again Now I can barely do 15 minutes without wanting to die - so I'm starting very slow and working my way back up - it's just hard - but I cannot go on looking and feeling the way I do!

Ah debt - the new American trend Seriously, it sucks - and I hate myself for getting myself into it - but at least I have the power and means to start getting out. It's going to be a long road - but for my sanity and future financial security I want to get serious about it now.

I have Suze Orman's Young Fabulous and Broke book and cd - actually I've had them for a while - I just haven't read it yet...keep meaning to though!!

Yuck. I hate working weeknights - but the extra money will be good for all the shows! You should work even more to get yourself to Denver

Sweeeeet. Maybe you can be my new provider of calf porn.
I can't believe you weren't doing leg weights before, those are big muscles and burn tons of cals. You're doing bun, too, right?
Anyway, good job, I'm really happy for you that you are getting in shape, losing weight. Great legs are all about the muscles. Duh.

I'm going to do the big hill climb today even though I shouldn't, just for the extra leg workout. Then, of course, I will have to do yoga to undo the painful tightening that the super hill will cause, so that will be good too.

Oh, and what I'm doing right now is watching Storm videos, b/c I didn't watch the show, but am trying to figure out if it is the same Storm I saw some years back in San Franscisco at a club. I was impressed with her then, and remembered that she was a Cancer, which this Storm is, too - and was also blond and pretty - I just don't remember her being so tall. But after reading the bio that said she did perform in SF quite a bit, and watching the songs, I've decided it is the same Storm. Okay, pointless, but that is what I was doing. Really, how many blond gorgeous singers who are Cancers and named Storm could there be? Yeah. She looks f*cking great for 37, too.

I am gutting my couch - and just put the cushion covers in the washing machine - it stinks of dog and try as I might I can't get the damn thing clean - so I've taken it apart....and am airing out the cushions - hopefully that will help.

In the process I've found enough dog hair to make at least two more dogs...gross.

Sooo..now I'm vacuuming.

Just got home from the grocery store. Okay, I can admit, I'm a little frugal..... Now, at home, when I'm alone, I might be known to drink some Franzia (box) wine. Well, a couple months ago, XXXXXX(I won't name my store, just in case someone here works for them) had my wine, at like 5 bucks off a box. They only had a couple boxes of Merlot, so I got a raincheck. The service desk lady told me she wasn't even sure she was allowed to give rainchecks on liquor, so I said, "well, I guess I'll need to go through a YOUNG cashier's line then, huh?". She laughed because she knew I was right.
Anyway, I went through this young guy's line(he is probably 21). Anyway, we joked about how much I like my "juice boxes". He hands me my raincheck BACK. I wasn't sure if it was on purpose or not. A few weeks later, I go back for more, and see him again. He keeps giving me my raincheck back! Just a few minutes ago, I stocked up again. He said, "it sure seems like you always buy your wine from me". I said, "odd, aint it?". He laughed, and slid me back my raincheck, again! I've probably bought 15 or so boxes now(no, I haven't drank them all.....I just keep stocking up, figuring that I'm going to lose that raincheck, sooner or later!).
What a boring, stupid story to share, but boy am I bored right now!

PS- they had fifths of Raspberry Stoli in the clearance cart, for $5!!!! I bought all (3) bottles they had!

I'll be over in a minute. *dashes to Homie's*

I bought a bottle of organic wine last night for $5. It was good. White, fruity, but just hints of it, it wasn't sweet at all. Also, it barely had the sharp tang of most white wine. Very nice indeed. My carb treat for the week, and now it's back onto only carbs from veggies. Because, if you don't have cable, there is fricking nothing on on Fri. nights.

I'm not much on whites. I like the richer, less sweet, taste of reds.
Now, if all you HAD was white, THAT would be a different story!

It's totally weird, up until about six months ago I felt exactly the same way about whites. Now, I love them. Not if they are sweet, though. Maybe I experienced one too many headaches/hangovers from red? Or maybe my pallette is more sensitive since I don't smoke much? Not that I still wouldn't drink it...They had organic red, but I was scared to try it. The description implied that it was sweet. They weren't normal wines, like chardonnay, or merlot - they were called other things, so I was confused Mine was called Torrontes. Anyway, organic wine for $5 is hard to pass up. Just like Stoli raz for $5 is. Anyway, I was still ripped, so it's fine.
