Default Can Lindsey take legal action to keep his songs off the tour’s set list?

Anyone know of an experienced entertainment attorney
who can speak to this?

Curious if Lindsey can prevent FM from playing his songs on the upcoming tour.
I would, if I were him.

I’ll go to the LA shows, but I don’t want to hear them do his songs. I think it would be salt in the wound, and disrespectful.

Rusty says Lindsey gets paid
for them singing his songs.

Plus it would make LB look a bit petty. Probably not his preference to 'take it out' on FM fans by preventing them from hearing songs he wrote.

To be honest, if I was him my wound would be much saltier if they didn't play any of my stuff--i.e. removing all trace of me and my legacy.

But keep looking for a good entertainment attorney--Peter Green might want to hire one, to get a restraining order against Stevie Nicks singing Rattlesnake Shake!

I don't see them playing his "songs". The only song they may do is GYOW. Its the classic ending to a Mac concert.

World Turning (which is a Buckingham/McVie tune)
Go Your Own Way

That's it.. Not a lot to pay out.

They'll probably play "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way" puke

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Indeed, he may have to get his shotgun out!

I think the only Lindsey songs we'll hear are:

Hold Me (since Christine recently did it on the BuckVie tour)
World Turning
Go Your Own Way

I can't see them doing Tusk (Neil Finn doesn't seem like he has the "crazy" personality for this song to work on stage)

No Big Love. No Never Going Back Again. No I'm So Afraid.

They're going to fill the gap with a broader set of songs from their early days, along with a couple of Crowded House songs, a Tom Petty song, and a solo song or two from Stevie.

At least that's what I think.....

Hold Me is a Christine song Lindsey sang with her (as he did on Don’t Stop). I agree that the band might play Hold Me, but that doesn’t affect Lindsey.

Maybe she can actually play the piano instead of standing around like a doddering old woman.

Agreed. But they dropped the key from D to B, so the "sound" of it changed too much with just that.

And I swear neither she nor Brett was playing that piano part. #lamez
