Stevie's vocals on Bob Welch's "Devil Wind"
just a reminder to old fans and a heads up to all you new post-Dance fans:
as mentioned on an earlier post, Bob Welch's album "Three Hearts" is being remastered and re-released soon on cd. Although Lindsey wasn't as heavily involved in the production as the album before this one, there is an incredible vocal from Stevie on the song "Devil Wind". She does a rip-roaring end piece to the song that will blow you away if you haven't heard it yet. I love this period between Rumours and Tusk when Buckingham/Nicks did lots of great singing and producing for Bob, Walter Egan, Warren Zevon, and John Stewart. Collectively, all those moments almost add up to a whole album worth of great stuff. I think Devil Wind refers to the Santa Ana winds that often hit LA in the fall. It's supposed to cause people acute bouts of insanity, infidelity, etc. For me it's just good hot beach weather and gives me allergies. |
