Question Most overrated songs in history?

Which songs, IYO, are the most overrated in history?

Stairway to Heaven (I like it, it's okay, but not the greatest thing ever written, and the best thing about it, are the drums, not the solo. LOL Yes, I do like Dolly's remake.)

Satisfaction (I don't like the Stones, so any song of theirs is overrated IMO, but this one is just blugh.)

Unchained Melody (OMG, I hate this song with a PASSION and if it gets remade ONE more freakin' time.... )

Those are the only ones I can think of at this moment. I wanna see what everyone else's choices are and I'm sure I'll comment on them. LOL

YOU ARE A HERETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think maybe "We Don't Need no Education" or whatever the title is from pink Floyd, whose work i really like if not love, esp. Dark Side of the Moon.

Exclamation LMAO!!

Then a heretic I shall be.

LOL

I love Pink Floyd (thanks to Seteca and Wetcamelfood)!! I can see how that their music may not be for everyone, it's very freaky and unusual, but I don't think they are overrated. But, dat's jest me. They do play the same songs over and over on the radio tho, and I WISH they'd play some of their more rare stuff, but I want that for FM and all other groups/singers I love.

"Old Time Rock And Roll," by Bob Segar.
I'd be happy as a clam if I never had to hear that song again.

"Like A Virgin"

"Thriller"

"Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go"

"We Are The Champions" (though I love Queen)

Funny how Cadillac is using old Zep songs for their commercials these days.

The title is "Another Brick In The Wall Part 2"

Btw, The song that I think is overrated is Fleetwood Mac's "Don't Stop"!!! Never have or will care about this song (It is the only song I skip when listening to a cd).

First let me say that I LOVE the Beatles, they are my first love and I will always love them...but two overrater songs from them are:

Yellow Submarine and I Wanna Hold Your Hand....those songs grate on my nerves..

That Outkast song that is ALWAYS on the radio...it annoys the crap outta me

La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin, they need to pull this song OFF the airwaves and never play it again

anything by Avril Laviigohiuehhgn

I agree with Satisfaction...I never got the appeal of that song

I like some of the songs that are listed already, but I agree that several are terrible.

Here are my choices:

Born in the USA (nothing againsts the veterans)
Every Breath You Take (by the thief!)
I Wanna Dance With Somebody Who Loves Me
Macarena
Celebration
Abracadabra
Thriller
Fire and Rain (I like his other songs)
All Night Long
Pseuseudio
Batdance

FM-Related

Sara. (Zzzzzz.)
Dreams. (The only FM song they ever play on our radio stations. And they play it to death)
NGBA. (Too twangy for my tastes. Matchbox 20's version kicks ass, though)
Just Crazy Love. (This song makes my teeth hurt.)
Wild Heart (This song makes me want to pull each individual hair out of my head when I listen to it. I've never liked it.)

Other

Bring Me to Life- Evanescance
The Tide is High- Blondie (Even though I LOVE Blondie, this song is pretty over-rated. Maybe I'm just sick of it...)
The Sweetest Thing- U2 (I also LOVE U2, but this song grates on my nerves to no end.)
Anything by Sheryl Crow *ducks*.
Anything by Creed.

I'm sure I'll think of some more later.

Edit: Hmm. I love some of the songs y'all are putting on your lists, Stairway, Satisfaction, Every Breath You Take, Unchained Melody, Livin' On a Prayer, etc... But I do agree that some of them are over-rated.

Sheryl Crow doesn't interest me at all. Maybe it's because all I know of her is what's been played on the radio. It's mediocre at best. Are her non-radio songs better??
