Default Random songs you think FM should cover......

Just for fun.....and discussion

Stevie Nicks : Only love can hurt like this- Paloma Faith
I think this is a fab diva like song that SN could really make her win with loads of emotion

Lindsey Buckingham : Photograph- Ed Sheeran
With LB on the guitar I think this would be gorgeous with his voice

Fleetwood Mac : Come together - the Beatles
With LB singing the verses. Think the words would be especially fitting.....

Default LB Cover

I would like Lindsey to perform an acoustic cover of A Flock of Seagulls "Space Age Love Song." I am not sure why that song reminds me of LB - perhaps it is the chord structure, the minimalist lyrics, or perhaps of the time that he still had feelings for Stevie. I think he could do wonders with it acoustically.

I could see them doing a nice version of Stephen Stills' "Love The One Your With" with Lindsey taking the verses and the 3 of them on the chorus. "Beast of Burden" could fit right in on Tusk performed in a WATL or SMAP style. I would love to hear Stevie and Lindsey harmonize on Gram Parsons' "Hickory Wind". Lastly, I'd love to hear them do Gene Clark's classic "I'll Feel A Whole Lot Better". It's lyrics would actually fit in on the Rumours tour and it would give Lindsey some space to show off his guitar skills on a song that's not I'm So Afraid or World Turning.

I am not a fan of covers and would not like the Mac to cover any song. I know Stevie does Petty's "I need to know" live. I like that she does the song but I would love to see her do Petty's "Change of heart." I just love that song and think it would have fit Stevie just as good as "I need to know."

I still want to hear LB and SN singing "California Dreams".

I like covers, I think it tells you something about what the artists are inspired by themselves. So I'd be curious to know what the band would like to cover.

To go full circle (since everything goes in cycles ), I would like to hear Lindsey perform "Black Slacks" by Joe Bennett & the Sparkletones, which he covered in his first public appearance when he was six or seven years old.

I would really like to hear Stevie cover Who's Crying Now by Journey. No particular reason, I just so happened to be listening to the song and thought it would be nice to hear Stevie do it and it stuck with me.

Another wish is to hear Christine do Can't Find My Way Home by Blind Faith. I can really hear her nailing this song.

But my ultimate dream is to hear the group cover The B-52's Love Shack. Combining my two favorite bands would just make my life complete. I would raise any amount of money I could to hear Christine or Stevie belt "Tin roof, RUSTED!"

What about Hopelessly In Love (The Party's Over)? Kinda seems like something she would sing.

Great thread. I would love to see them cover alot of stuff especially some of the classic tunes.

First up is an inside job they can do. I love to see FM cover Stevie's Wildheart the same way as the dressingroom video.I thought it was very clever that Stevie mashed Can't Go Back together with Wildheart and made one tune out of it.

I'll add others later.

Black Cloud - Morrissey

"Black Cloud"

The one I love is standing near
The one I love is everywhere
I can woo you
I can amuse you
But there is nothing I can do to make you mine
Black cloud, black cloud
The one I love roosts in the mind
Can snap this spell
Or, increase hell
I can chase you and I can catch you
But there is nothing I can do to make you mine
Black cloud, black cloud
Oh, black cloud
Oh, black cloud
I play the game of Favorites now
I can I must I will I do
I can please you
Or, I can freeze you out
But there is nothing I can do to make you mine
Black cloud, black cloud, black cloud
I can choke myself to please you
And I can sink much lower than usual
But there's nothing I can do
To make you mine

Also. Hurdy Gurdy Man by Donovan.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
