It sounds like Stan might be just a slight bitter about Chris' eventual success.

Also, Chris joined just before Chicken Shack played in Hamburg & Chris had nothing to do with "Tears In The Wind". The last thing she did with Chicken Shack was "I'd Rather Go Blind".

I wondered about that. Who DOES sing on "Tears in the Wind," and isn't that a post-Christine Chicken Shack song? It would be impossible to confuse Stan Webb's horrible screeching vocals with Christine's lovely voice.

Although I agree with MacFan that Stan's tone isn't very nice, I think he's probably right that she wouldn't have made it in music if it hadn't been for her time in their band. That is, unless she happened to join some other blues band from that same music scene. I wonder if she was highly driven to pursue a career in music, the way you hear about young musicians feeling driven. It somehow doesn't match my mental image of Chris' laid-back personality, but she must have had a burning desire to be a musician at that time, or else she wouldn't have followed the path she did.

Yeah, after Mary Anne said this I was wondering myself. It's not Paul Raymond!

If she hadn't joined Chicken Shack but some other band she might not have met John and therefore might not have joined Fleetwood Mac and life would have been so much different.

I just checked the liner notes in my Chicken Shack box set & Paul Raymond is playing piano on that track. It was recorded in November 1969, well after Chris left Chicken Shack.

Thanks. I was wondering about the "moving vocals" that they took for Christine.
