Default On which 'Say You Will' songs does Christine play?

And does she do any backing vocals or is it just keyboards? I know this has been discussed before but I forget. I am making an attempt to actually listen to 'Say You Will' (for the second time) and being alerted to Chris' keyboard playing would perk up the listening experience for me.

If anyone would like to comment on what her keyboard playing does for those songs, it would make this a real thread, not just a boring request for information from a Christine completist.

I was going to post this in the Rumours forum but I lost my nerve.

I'm reasonably sure she did vocals on 'Steal Your Heart Away', but I don't have the CD booklet around to verify if there were any else. I'm thinking that there weren't, because I'm recalling the thread where we discussed this the last time.

Or, at least, none that she received a credit in the booklet for.

One could almost imagine though, hearing Christine's harmonies in 'What's The World Coming To'.

I believe Christine is also on the harmony vocals of "Bleed to Love Her".

In the original sessions for the solo album, Chris played on sang on several tracks, like "Miranda," "Steal Your Heart Away" & "Bleed to Love Her." But I think Lindsey & Mark Needham decided to replace some of her vocals & substitute vox by Stevie for the Fleetwood Mac album.

So ... is the consensus that Christine doesn't actually play keyboards on 'Say You Will' AT ALL? That maybe she contributed a little backing vocal somewhere in the process of evolving the songs, but not to the end product?

I didn't find another thread about this, although I admit I didn't look very hard.

I hear her voice on Bleed to Love Her and Steel Your Heart Away but as for keyboards I have no idea.

Johnny Stew reposted credit list info in this thread a couple of weeks ago:

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...highlight=syha

According to it, Christine played piano on SYHA and sang on SYHA and BTLH.

I tried to like SYW.... I just don't really think it's all that good.

Doesn't she also sing backing vocals on Red Rover?

As far as I know, no. In that VH1 Classic interview, she mentioned only "Bleed To Love Her" & "Steal Your Heart Away". In one of her Dance interviews, she said that she had contributed vocals and/or keyboards to 4 or 5 tracks on Lindsey's then solo album, but never mentioned which songs those 4 or 5 were.

Oh, wow, I always thought that "Oooooh" in the background of the chorus was her. Is that Lindsey?

I didn't realize the answer to this question was so, well, complicated. Don't they realize we want to know who made every little sound on every single record? (LOL)

I have listened to 'Say You Will' twice and I think it could be edited down to a decent 10 or 12 song album. As it is it's way too long and just feels like a Stevie solo album and a Lindsey solo album played on shuffle. It almost feels like a Stevie and a Lindsey songwriting project. Okay, let's both write a song called "Goodbye" and put them both at the end of the record. But I'm getting off the subject.

I thank everyone who took the time to answer what I thought was a simple question. The other thread on the Rumours board was somewhat illuminating, but I guess we'll never know for sure exactly what Christine contributed to this record.

Yeah, it's a secret. Why I'd care what song Sheryl Crow is singing on, but not want to have Christine specified in the credits is beyond me.

I like that closing, but it reminds me of Burns & Allen: "Say goodnight, Gracie."

"Goodnight Gracie."

LOL!

In truth, "Giving it Back" would have been the ideal closer if our beloved was allowed to record with them.

Yes and if Friend had opened the album it would have improved it no end
