Great Betsy!

If he gets to relisten that Walk2/demo he would know, that there´s a whole new song in those fQcking gorgeous melodylines. I love that demo. He can really shake things up in the proces, a whole new melody and lyric came out....fascinating.

As I recall, that instrumental IKINW is exactly the same as one of the versions that ended up on the second CD of the Tusk/reissue. can you confirm that. I´m pretty sure.

I´ll come over at the fence to sing a song for you. Probably like that mumble lindsey does in the Big Love/demo.

Under the Skin was a pretty disappointing album for me. My favorite Lindsey trait is his ability to craft pop-music that is timeless, but is constructed in not obvious ways. His live show in support of the album was first rate, though. Some of the songs that are being tossed around here are better to these ears, than most anything on Under the Skin. Outside of Down on Rodeo and Somebody's Gotta Change Your Mind, most of Under the Skin is undermined by breathy, manipulated noises that are passed off as vocals.

Do i have more on my wishlist? well, Any lindseysongFMdemo would be fine too. I know there are some from tusk and mirage. Don't know if there are rumours or whitealbum demo's that were not released on the reissues. Tangodemo's of lindseysongs? never heard one.

oh yeah...On the wrong side, anyone?

I feel like a spoiled brat asking for more, but those cassettedemo's of Deep Dense and Steve's riff(wear you down), are nothing less than intriguing. They really show how he works (worked). And yes, that "painting music" in my book too.

I hope some of you can help me out, and I am very glad this thread is a welcomed by others too. Cool.
I got a SH*T load of Mirage Demos....yep, like 3+ of each song.

I shall post this weekend/next weekend. [IDK if im going to my dads or not....]
Or Tomorow/Friday depending on Homework/plans.

But I have some
-CGB
-Book of Love
-EOTW
-Oh Diane

[I personally think that Go Insane is an AMAZING peice of work, its been heavy on my rotation since I bought it. ]

Here's a demo I found of Lindsey back when he was quite a bit younger. He sings the Valens classic La Bamba.

I think he brings a certain je ne sais quoi to it, whaddya?
