Default What if Lindsey had done the Tango tour? Setlist?

This has probably been done before, but lets give it a stab. What would the Tango tour set look like if Lindsey had been present?

Here is a standard Tango setlist:

Say You Love Me
The Chain
Dreams
Isn't It Midnight
Oh Well
Rhiannon
Seven Wonders
Stop Messin' Around
Everywhere
Gold Dust Woman
World Turning
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?
Rattlesnake Shake
Gypsy
Over My Head
I Loved Another Woman
Brown Eyes
Little Lies
Stand Back
You Make Loving Fun
Don't Stop

Blue Letter
Go Your Own Way
Songbird

bear in mnid that the setlist varied quite dramatically throughout the tour. "Sara" was dropped early on, "Go Your Own Way" and "Don't Stop" were switched early on in the tour, "Rhiannon" was added part way through and then dropped, so I've just pulled this up as a random example.

Here is my Lindsey set:

Say You Love Me
The Chain
Dreams
Second Hand News
Isn't It Midnight
Rhiannon
Oh Well
Seven Wonders
Eyes of the World
Everywhere
Gold Dust Woman
Tango In The Night
Landslide
Never Going Back Again
Gypsy
Over My Head
Not That Funny
Little Lies
Big Love
You Make Loving Fun
Go Your Own Way

Tusk
Don't Stop
Songbird

I think "Family Man" and "Caroline" may have made apperances somewhere, but I can't quite place them. I don't think Lindsey would have liked Stevie having any solo songs in the set, let alone 2. I also think that without "I Loved Another Woman", "Brown Eyes" would never have been included.

"Brown Eyes" was played during the Mirage tour, so it wasn't a surprise that it appeared on this tour, just how it was presented as a direct segue from "I Loved Another Woman" instead of being a stand-alone song as in the Mirage tour set.

I disagree with that being the "basic" Tango set. It's ok up to "Seven Wonders", but from there, the set went:

Rattlesnake Shake (or Stop Messin' Round, depending on the night)
Gypsy
Over My Head
Don't Let Me Down Again
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?
I Loved Another Woman
Brown Eyes
World Turning
Little Lies
Stand Back
You Make Loving Fun
Don't Stop
Blue Letter

Go Your Own Way

Songbird

Well, as I said, the Tango tour sets varied. The set is an actual tango set that I pulled up online just to use as an example.

I mean, look at the opening night setlist from September 87 compared with what you posted above:

Say You Love Me
The Chain
Dreams
Isn't It Midnight
Oh Well
Seven Wonders
Stop Messin' Around
Everywhere
Gold Dust Woman
World Turning
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?
Rattlesnake Shake
I Love Another Woman
Brown Eyes
Little Lies
Stand Back
You Make Loving Fun
Gypsy
Blue Letter
Go Your Own Way
Sara
Don't Stop
Songbird

And the compare the final night

Say You Love Me
The Chain
Dreams
Isn't It Midnight
Oh Well
Seven Wonders
Stop Messin' Around
Everywhere
Gold Dust Woman
Don't Let Me Down Again
Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?
Another Woman
Brown Eyes
World Turning
Little Lies
Stand Back
Go Your Own Way
Blue Letter
Don't Stop
Songbird

The setlists varied as various songs were dropped - Sara, Gypsy, You Make Loving Fun, Rattlesnake Shake were all dropped and several songs switched and moved around throuhgout the set. "Rhiannon" was added and then dropped again later. "Sara" was dropped, then brought back earlier in the set between "Stop Messin' Around" and "Everywhere". "Over My Head" was also added and then dropped.

By the time the tour got to Vegas, Rhiannon, Gypsy, and Sara had all been dropped. That was my first Fleetwood Mac show, and I was rather disappointed to have Stevie singing lead on only 5 songs.

That opening setlist is wrong - I was at 2 of the first 4 shows and my friend was at the others. Rhiannon wasn't added later on, it was part of the set at the very beginning but it did get dropped as did Gypsy. In this same way, Sara was never dropped actually because it was never even in the set until the last leg of the tour when it was finally added in Europe. Over My Head was part of the set at the beginning as well although I am not aware of if or when it was dropped. I didn't think You Make Loving Fun was dropped either.

My apologies but that source isn't getting their information correct lol
