Default Say You Will

So I finally went to buy "Say You Will". For some reason I never got it. But I was dying to hear "Say Goodbye". So I go to the record store (yes, a record store) in Pasadena, Ca. I find a used CD for $8.99. But it's just a plain cover. Not the picture cover. So I start whining to the guy if that's the only one they have and could they check if they have a cover for it. He says no and I buy it anyways. Now at this store they keep the actual CD packages behind the counter. So he gives it to me and it looks like a little book. The pictures are all glossy and clear and it has a second CD with a few extra songs. I guess it was the deluxe edition which I didn't know existed. Needless to say, I am now very happy and listening to it. But I must say I think I prefer the live version of "Say Goodbye". The best live version being from the DVD of the show in Boston in 2004. I wish that one was on the CD for that DVD. It's the most emotional one I've heard. That's what made me fall in love with that song. Anyways, just my little story.

It took me a long time to buy SYW too. But I love it.

The Album version of Say Goodbye is very odd. I don't know what compelled Lindsey to have the song at that speed?

Say You Will was the second Fleetwood Mac album i bought after Tango in the night weirdly enough.

Tri,

Check out the live version of "Say Goodbye" from the special edition of Buckingham's "Under the Skin" (It was also the same version on his SoundStage DVD)

i got mine mid 2003
i think after The very Best cd
[it was my 2nd Mac cd too btw i think]
i had no idea there was a new cd
and i was soooooooooooooo excited
coz i was really just getting hooked on the Mac
it's still my favorite Mac album
i know heaps of ppl overall dont think it's very good or consistent
or wotever
but i think it's brilliant
and i was never really an LB fan
but i equally like his songs on there as i do stevie's
i just dont really like WTWCT or Silver Girl...used to but not so much now
EFO/Murrow/DR/Thrown Down, Say Goodbye.......top notch awesomeness
and RTTG is just it's own special lil song

what's ur top 5?

Lindsey's Soundstage also contains a great version of Say Goodbye, which I think is available both on disc and iTunes as part of Under The Skin.
