Default The Bug Song

Do you guys remember the bug song that Christine's band played at her solo shows? She left the stage, & those guys rocked out!

Why didn't she stay for it & put some tasty blues piano on it?

That's "The Guitar Bug". It was a song in the middle of the set on her 1984 solo tour. Todd Sharp did it. He co-wrote it with Billy Burnette. Todd did it so that Chris could take a bathroom break, as jbrownsjr so succinctly put it.

Are there any shows on tape where Chris didn't go pee but stayed onstage & played during the bug song?

I know she left the stage at Universal. She was gone, baby, gone, her love is gone.

I only have a few shows with "Guitar Bug" & she left the stage every time. She said she was leaving to "dry her hair". When I saw her, she left too. I think "Guitar Bug" was her "pee song" on that tour.

I have a few complete bootlegs. The best of them is the Beacon Theatre show from New York. I have dial-up. I can't post the entire show at one time because it would take too long to upload all of them at once. I'd be willing to post a few tracks each day, if anyone is interested.

Ooh, would'ja? I don't have the NY show, just LA '83, and Chicago '84. And... Songbird from the Jackson show. I like that one, actually. "I know there really is no town called Great Adventure.... What's the name of the town here, then?"

I'll start posting them tomorrow, a few tracks each day. The Chicago show is the best from that tour, but it's not the whole show. Yes, that Jackson show is very funny. She was really confused. "I thought Great Adventure is a funny name for a town."

"Oh, it is Jackson! Okay, well... Jackson! I want to sing a song.... for you. Especially for you"

What's the 'tragic news' thing?
