Default The Way I Feel

I know everyone talks about the song Why from Mystery To Me as their favorite Chris song, but I'll tell you, for my money, The Way I Feel is just as good. I listened to it the other day, and her voice is absolutely PERFECT. Not that it's not good on her others, but something just hit me when I listened to it.

Her voice is flawless on this. but the arrangement is pretty corny, I think. The song could be really something given a drum/bass backing and a groove guitar, make it sort of like those folk ballads Fairport Convention used to pull off...

I LOVE "The Way I Feel". It's not as good as "Why", but then nothing else is anyway. It's my second favorite song of Christine's on MTM. I like the arrangement. Her voice is flawless, but then it is on the entire album. I'm not really sure why more people don't really like this song very much. When we had that MTM survivor, "The Way I Feel" was the first song to go.

I love "Way I Feel." It's really the precursor to "Songbird" because the arrangement--acoustic piano & acoustic guitar--is essentially identical in "Songbird." If you listen to some of the live "Songbirds" in 1977, you hear an arrangement that would have been used for "Way I Feel" live, too. The two songs are really & truly sisters.

Great song. It's my second or third favourite Chris song on MTM. I can't decide if I like it better than Just Crazy Love. Why is my favourite, of course.

Interesting theory about the drum/bass backing. I hadnt thought of it that way before.

I don't like this one. The lyrics make me cringe, and there's really nothing special about the arrangement. (Now, "Believe Me" and "Why" on the other hand...)

It's always good to have an opposing view.
