I'm trying to think where the phrase Without Love comes from. It feels vaguely it must have to do with someone I like for it to stick in my head. I always want to say it. It feels like maybe something Loy and Powell would do that I would make a note of, but I don't know.

Are you into show tunes?

That's all I've got.

Anyway, when Lindsey said that Say Goodbye was actually a mate to Without You, I was thinking that a song called Without Love would be a good mate -- not about there being no love left, but having to live without that person in your life, upon whom so many things revolved for so long.

Michele
Haha yes, it kills me when they can't even get half of the song names right! Oh, and I also read a review of the EP that put forth the idea that Sad Angel is actually about the end of the world :-/ (can't find it now or else I would post it--may have been a concert review).

Jamie - i'm seriously impressed!

a) you stayed in front of Lindsey's mic the whole show and didn't try to run to Stevie's!
b) you filmed what was in front of you and just a couple of times strayed to Stevie's side... you filmed her standing there during GYOW just the one time she was right in front of you but the rest of the time you didn't follow her with your camera but were actually showing us Lindsey's guitar solo and fan guitar strumming!

hey, did Lindsey do some audience hand-shaking there at the end?

thanks for filming and for sharing your video.

and just if someone's wondering why i'm so impressed: you are self-confessed diehard Stevie fan. i've stood at some of these FM shows by people who are self-confessed music-first, BN-first, FM-first fans. i was a bit surprised and amused by some of them looking in awe at Stevie, while they were standing right there in front of Lindsey and he was playing and singing, and she was doing nothing musically.

I don't know about after GYOW, but I believe I did see Lindsey shake one hand after Say Goodbye, then he made a quick exit. He was kind of headed out and then ran back really quick for a handshake.

The score from Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite albums.

You know, I was thinking of a Hepburn/Tracy movie. I don't like Spencer Tracy, but I like Hepburn and there was a time in my life where I made a job for myself of seeing all movies that certain duos: Loy/Powell, Hepburn/Tracy, Hepburn/Grant, MacMurray/Russell and Grant/Loy were in together.

I was thinking a lot about it and have decided that if I had a chance to see Christine again, I'd have to make an exception for this last in a lifetime event and park myself far left and just ignore the other 2 guys all night.

When Christine left, cell phone cameras were not prevalent, so she will probably be freaked out by people photographing and recording her during an entire show (or however long she's on). I think they still actively had security restrict cameras in 1997. But in September, she is going to be trained on, whether she likes it or not.

For the Without You intro, I'm sure Stevie will mention how Mick let Christine decide whether or not another woman could join the band. I really resent the assumptions behind that, but whatever . . . I'm sure she'll bring it up.

This is just the very end of "Sara", but it's cute because of the Stevie/Lindsey hug.

Thanks for the compliments. I could have gone to the stage before the start of the show, but I really don't like being right up against it. Yeah, you're technically closer to the artist, but my experience with that is that you end up just looking up their nostrils most the night. I like to see them, and them to see me, which is why I like to stay back in the rows 2-7 area. I love the eye contact. But that's just me.

As far as filming goes, I just tried to do my best with what was in front of me (mostly Lindsey). Lindsey put on a great show too. I almost got a towel! One flew right by me - I think it's on one of my videos. But I did try to get video of Stevie when I could (how could I not )

My next show is July 5th in San Diego, for the VIP Mick thingy. We have 4th row, center for that one. I'm not planning on filming that one though- just want to soak it all in.

Jamie

So now they're the "thank you twins."

There was a moment in the intro when Lindsey looked away to Mick and Stevie was talking into the mic, then Lindsey whipped around and put his face to the mic again Stevie took a big step back Guess she wasn't expecting him. It made me laugh.

Ha, she neatly avoided an unintentional kiss. Michele
