My feelings exactly! Given that this is Stevie's first Live cd, I'm glad someone had the sense not to shove Dreams, Rhiannon and Edge Of Seventeen down our throats again and again. Also very glad no space was wasted with 'The One. Though the CD could have been longer --Enchanted and I Need To Know-- it's actually a nice 10 song set...it's at least somewhat fresh.

Well in an around about way Stevie will get to promote her new CD/DVD
courtesy of "TROJAN VIBRATING TOUCH". If you watched the Chris Isaak
Hour tonight you know what I mean.

Speaking of the show. I thought it was very good. If Stevie and Chris get to
sing as many songs as he and Trisha did, it could turn out very well. And then
there's the interview. Something to look forward to.

So we might not be able to complain about them only doing "It's Late".

I'll list a little more info from my source:

Stevie Nicks, rock's superstar chanteuse, performs her signature songs with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's Fleetwood Mac and from her own acclaimed solo career on "LIVE IN CHICAGO", in both CD and DVD formats. Recorded at her October 2007 Soundstage performance, the scintillating concert ranges from "Rhiannon", "Landslide", "Sara", and "Dreams" to her own "Enchanted" and "Stand Back".

RETAIL:
A companion CD, The Soundstage Sessions is also available. It features a selection of the songs available on the Live In Chicago DVD.

If you're buying directly from Warner Bro's are they sending out any promo
item with it? Last time they included a promo card that featured one of Stevies
drawings. They should include something special, because most likely you'll be paying full price from their website.

Well, I'm quoting myself here, but I think it might answer some of the recent
questions about the CD (yes or no?).

Someone was CLAIRVOYANT weren't they? (not just the DVD/CD tracks, but
right down to the lithograph idea....hmmm.......).

Without all the details. "Live" albums are usually a mixture of both the live concert and "in studio" work. This "sweetning" takes place on most live CD's and DVD's. The concert itself was recorded in October of '07. And a supposed visit to the recording studio in January '08. Again, this is very common place. Some don't like the details because it seems to spoil the live concert vibe. But I don't think people will be disappointed with what's just a few weeks away.

I guess by now, whoever reads this will know why Chris Isaak's information was posted in this thread. It was almost like an infomercial for her new DVD/CD wasn't it?

This thread has almost run it's course........but there is something new on the
horizon.......

Just noticed something different about the U.K. release of the Live In Chicago
DVD, besides the release date being March 23, 2009.

The U.K. version is listed as being 116 minutes,
with the U.S. version listed as 120 minutes.

Maybe they are not counting the bonus track in
the run time on the U.K. version, or maybe it's just
a typo. Hmmm?

If you haven't ordered your copy yet,

Best Buy has the CD at $11.99 w/free shipping.
And has the DVD at $11.99 w/free shipping.

I just bought mine.
To SandyMac and others who ordered early (SandyMac's post was from 9/29/08).
If your pre-orders weren't cancelled by you or WB, shouldn't you be getting the
lithograph???

The pre-orders were around so long before the DVD/CD Lithograph offer was
posted that I thought I'd post this and those who left their orders open could
think about canceling their orders with WB unless they offer you the free litho.
If not I wouldn't give them my $$$, but that's just me.

Think how much extra money WB makes when you order direct from them.
No middle man in between them and your money. Then they charge you higher
prices for the items than most any online retailer. Then you pay shipping and
handling, again something many online retailer's offer for free. Oh.........but WB
is offering the "free" lithograph. Doesn't seem quite free does it?

Not saying the lithograph isn't worth the extra money, but you'll have to decide
if it's worth it.

Actually, when the release date was moved a couple of times after the original Oct 28th date, WBR took the pre-order option for the CD and DVD off of their site until only a few weeks ago.

So you're saying all pre-orders were cancelled by WB before they offered
the new version that includes the litho?

I don't order from them, so I was trying to look out for those who did.

Yes, they had sent emails to everyone who had ordered and said that they cancelled the order, but to please re-order when it becomes available again.
