Wow, so even us die hard fans know when to pull the plug....I HOPE this will be their farewell tour.

It's a joke, cash grab now..."let's milk our 'heritage', some more".
No new material=LAME. Face it guys, you're milking an old, dried up teat.

See, I just don't care if they are simply doing it for the money. As long as they put on an awesome show and look like they're having a good time, what's the harm? Would I like some new music, of course, but would anyone really just sit there bored at a FM concert, even if they only played the hits? It isn't like they tour every year - I'm still excited for the tour next year, and if they can do one more after that I will surely go!

exactly. greatest hits FM tour is not really for diehards like people here anyway. diehards alone don't fill arenas. casual fans do, who want to see a legendary band before they hang it up. so if they can fill arenas and make a lot of money, why begrudge them that.

that said, it would be really nice for the band to throw diehards a few bones and give us some of those songs we were all listing here.

I thought I saw Fleetwood Mac's new tour title and tour book . . . .

It made a lot of sense--sort of a "never going back again" theme. But the smaller print on the cover revealed it was someone else's theme.

I wish Taylor Swift's vocal chords would never get back together.
(Nice one, BTW, Tango! )

For the record, I don't think there's any "harm" in touring with hits, whatever, but it's surely a lame way to go for a band that has one of the best-selling albums of all time. It looks like a bunch of veteran musicians on the way out making money and saying farewell, when (in my opinion) in reality SN and LB are making some of the best post-Rumours and Tusk music they've ever made. Basically by doing a hits tour, they're negating that and putting the emphasis on careers that are behind them, and to make (more) money when they're already rich beyond what they can spend in their lifetimes. Just seems really futile.. Especially when LB talks so much about being creative. I'm hoping this will be different than the cynicism bandied around here, I really hope there's new stuff and BN stuff and we have a different tour than Unleashed '09. But we shall see..

I agree, I don't begrudge them playing the songs that made them famous to begin with, but when they both have so much left to give you feel they're wasting their talent... Look at Bob Dylan! He just came out with a new album this year! Madness. Now, if FM can't get their act together and come out with new songs or a fresh set list then something is seriously wrong with the world

yeah but so did LB and SN last year.

and Dylan is one of the crappiest live performers out there from both when i've seen him and all the reviews i read. people can usually barely even recognize which song he's playing these days . so as far as setllists and live performing, Bob Dylan is not the best example, imho.

Haha no, I sadly agree with you, but just the fact that he can should be testament enough. We know they would sound a million times better, whatever they came out with - I know it was only last year for LB and SN solo albums, but I say keep going! Stevie, dig out those stored cassettes, and Linds break out your favorite guitar

Default Fleetwood Mac For Dummies

If the last tour was Unleashed, this time it should be Fleetwood Mac for Dummies.

I mean I always thought they were inspired by these books.
