Default Rate Members In Order Of I.Q.

Rate the members of F. Mac in the order of their I.Q., highest to lowest. Do your best, even if you have a low I.Q.

1. Rick Vito
2. Danny Kirwan
3. Bob Brunning
4. Lindsey Buckingham
5. Dave Mason
6. Bob Weston
7. Bob Welch
8. Christine McVie
9. Bekka Bramlett
10. John McVie
11. Dave Walker
12. Mick Fleetwood
13. Peter Green
14. Stevie Nicks

I didn't rate Jeremy because it would be rude since he reads the forum, but I will say that I think he is one of the higher I.Q.s in the band's history. Stevie Nicks is easily the dumbest. But she's the biggest star, so there ya go.

Someday when I am famous and Stevie Nicks is my best friend, I will make sure that she never goes on the Ledge.

Nobody but NOBODY sings Sisters of the Moon like Stevie Nicks.

She didn't need an I.Q. to create magick & smaf & castle-dwelling, windswept passions & wintry emotions, tasting like vanilla, pasteboard, & starched milk along my upper lip, where I need a towel to wipe it off gently, gently, gently into that good night.

Stevie Nicks influenced me as a poet. Here's my latest poem.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Get out of the bed
If you gotta go poo.

This ^ can be sung using the chord changes in Outside the Rain.

I'm not going to rate everyone's intelligence but I think John's the smartest. He has a keen ability to keep his mouth shut. I admire that.

You know... I'm really not sure how to reply to that. So here's a picture of a platypus that I hope you all will enjoy.

Oh David.....

1. Lindsey Buckingham
2. Stevie Nicks
3. Christine McVie
4. Mick Fleetwood
5. John McVie

I can't rate the others because I haven't heard them speak enough. However, I honestly think Stevie is smart. Of course she may be dramatic at times and even seem a bit flakey, but she really has a talent. Her lyrics are are so unique but also so universal in one's life. And the fact that she impresses Lindsey so much with her ability to just sit down and clunk on the piano and come up with something really cool, is proof that she is a sheer genius. Her geniusness plus Lindsey's brilliantness has equaled amazingness.

Well this is interesting. I'll take a stab at how the band member's IQ always came off to me. Not really based of each person musically.

Lindsey Buckingham
John McVie
Bob Welch
Christine McVie
Rick Vito
Mick Fleetwood
Bekka Bramlett
Billy Burnette
Stevie Nicks
Peter Green
Danny Kirwan

Just how they come off to me from what I've heard about these people. We don't really know for sure.

So I don't think Stevie is a genius by any means, but I think she has better street smarts than we realize. No doubt about it-- the woman always knew how to play some very important cards if we entirely forget about 1986-1997.

And I also believe she is the best poet of the band, even if not the best lyricist. However, I don't believe she is super consistent with the quality of her writing. But read the words to "Crystal", "Rhiannon", "Gold Dust Woman", "Long Distance Winner", "Planets of the Universe", "Kind Of Woman", "Wild Heart", "Trouble in Shangri-La".... I could list many more.

I don't feel right judging the individual member's IQs but I do have my opinions on their innate musical ability. Stevie isn't high on my list in terms of natural born talent MUSICALLY, especially in the shadow of so many freakin' phenomenal guitarists and writers dating back to the very beginnings of Mac.

What important cards? 86 - 94 must have been hell for her health wise. And she was becoming less popular and gaining weight, that couldn't have helped things. I wouldn't say those were her brightest times, except when she got off the meds and lost the weight.

For one, I don't think her stage persona was a coincidence-- she saw people grab onto the Rhiannon image and she ran with that for the next 30+ years of her career. From what I know, that was at least partially a conscious decision and I don't think she would have ever reached legend status without such a distinguished aura.

Also, I know that a lot of people believe that many of the men in Stevie's life didn't respect her as much as she thinks they did-- yet you can't deny that she knew how to use her sexuality wisely. She's slept with some of the most renowned artists of her time, also boosting her appearance as a sex symbol, again attributing to her level of fame. Plus, she got two great Bella Donna duets out of the deal

I think she can do some really ditzy things and I wouldn't bet my money on her to out-smart or musically triumph over most Fleetwood Mac members. Yet you can't deny the woman knows what she's doing.
