I know in a Q & A when someone asked him about recycled lyrics (faces of glass) he seemed unaware that he'd done it. I don't know if he was being coy or genuinely didn't know he'd used the phrase before. Michele

The signature guitar riff is 99% identical on "Stephanie" & "Eyes Of The World" (except one is acoustic guitar, the other is electric (well..multiple electrics).

And, that signature "Stephanie" riff IS kind of hidden by severely slowing it down and playing it on a synth rather than guitar in "Bang The Drum. But, it's there...once you hear it, it jumps out of the mix.

I finally heard "Stephanie" in both of these today!! Thanks for the info! So exciting since that's my favorite Lindsey instrumental (and not because of the title, I just really love the music). So, it's super cool to hear it used in those songs as well.

I remember that too, Michele. At the time I thought he surely must have known he had used it before. But, maybe he just has it subconsciously filed away as a favorite phrase and he pulled it out again unaware of the other instances. Maybe Lindsey needs a monitor when he's working on new material...
