Default 1998's "Blues for Dhyana"; Is that Peter Green?

This is an album of songs from the early 1980's. Is that Peter Green playing?

If they aren't the guitarist who was the stand-in should join a FM reunion band of the original four with Mick, John, and Jeremy. He has Peter Green solved, yet I'm hoping I'm very wrong. I heard licks from 1970 that Peter used to play.

There's always been controvercy when it comes to whos playing guitar on Peter's PVK albums. But yes, it's him playing lead guitar on the songs on "Blues For Dhyana". (That's MY opinion, though...) The two exception may be "What Am I Doing Here" and "Liqour And You", which went through tons of overdubs by session guitarist during the Kolors sessions.

Funny title though... Dhyana????

It's either Peter or Snowy White on lead guitar.

Snowy is listed as playing lead only on 2 tracks, the title track (shared with Green) and Slabo Day on In The Skies, I believe that. As Daniel says the tracks from the Kolors album had guitar overdubs from studio musicians, otherwise all solos are Green.

Be interesting to hear which licks you recognize!

1. A Fool No More - Greeny
2. Born Under A Bad Sign - Greeny
3. I Could Not Ask For More - no lead guitar, Greeny on harmonica
4. Walkin' The Road - Greeny
5. Last Train To San Antone - Greeny
6. Lost My Love - Greeny
7. Just Another Guy - Greeny
8. What Am I Doing Here - Kolors album, Greeny with overdubs
9. Same Old Blues - Kolors album, Greeny with overdubs
10. Liquor And You - Kolors album, Greeny with overdubs
11. Six String Guitar - Greeny
12. One Woman Love - Greeny

I've only heard A Fool No More, and Just Another Guy (youtube). I remember reading about how other guitarists played on his late 70's/early 80's albums and I didn't want to believe it. Thank you for the clarification.

On Just Another Guy, early in the song he plays one of those perfect noodly filling the beat licks he used to play during the live "I've Got a Good Mind to Give Up Living".

Wow, thanks for that. That is definitely Peter playing. There's a vocal version of that track also, on the re-issue of the "White Sky" album. The instrumental version is preferable imo.

"Just Another Guy" is Peter playing all the lead guitar, with the Leslie organ speaker effect - makes it sound a bit like an organ, the rhythm guitar Ronnie Johnson.
