Default In The Meantime Rhino ReMaster (Sold Out)

Christine would have been proud! Who knows how many copies were made, but the interest in it alone would have made her happy!

That’s awesome! That album deserves a lot more attention…

I like ITM far more than the 1984 album (I wonder if it was also sold out).

I slightly like 1984 better. I think because it's a more organic, BAND sounds.

It's because you sit in traffic in Nashville and have bad taste.

I don't sit in traffic. I know all the vroom vroom secret ways(okay, there was no secret way this past Saturday).

Much of the reason Bella Donna is my favorite Old Goatsy album is because it sounds like a BAND playing. Not TITN computer generated bull sh*t. Fukc the computer generated crap. I loathe it.

There is a thread and debate about this. Catch me on any day and my opinion could change. ITM has overall better mood and songs overall. However 1984 has better gems and far better variety of music. In real time (1984) some of the sound of her solo album caught me by surprise because many songs almost had a country music vibe. How could an English blues singer go American country? But clearly that was Todd Sharpe's influence. Sometimes I like it and other times I wish she would have done the album by herself. But she never wanted to do a solo album in 1984 and was sort of forced. ITM was made completely because of her desire. Each album is terrific and like book ends. They compliment each other and each is different. I feel the magic of the recording of ITM. Its a much more personal dreamy album. 1984 is more straight forward pop/rock.

There were lot of threads about an imaginary 2004 Fleetwood Mac album "In the Meantime Say You Will". Choosing the right songs from each album, it would have been a great one. I don't know if it just my nostalgia but I feel that it would have been greater if produced by Lindsay and Richard, maybe also by Ken.

ITM at least was co-produced with Ken.

The songs that prevent me from going all in on ITM are: Love Will Show Us How, The Challenge, Ask Anybody, One In A Million, and The Smile I Live For. These songs are so brilliant and heavy that they prevent me from saying ITM is the better album. While ITM overall may have a better vibe and definitely has heavy hitters too, but they fall a tad short of those gems on 1984.

They are both really wonderful albums. The re-Master has really given me insight into just how good of a composer Christine is.

Even with someone else, she brings the best out of everyone.
