Default Stevie Nicks: Fleetwood Mac will tour in 2013. Rehearsals start in January".

Check out this piece of VERY exciting news from Nickslive!

http://nickslive.blogspot.co.uk/2012...twood-mac.html

I would take this with the proverbial bucket of salt if she hadn't said the part about rehearsals starting in January. Now I am only taking it with a pinch. Yes!!

Default new 2013 tour

Honestly, Im a little disapointed in a 2013 tour, I mean, at this point, what exactly are FM going to offer?

I mean, I love the band, but what? Ill pay $150 for one ticket to see the same set list from 10 years ago, and maybe they throw in 1 classic song

I mean, there are so many more possibilities, studio album, BN, SOLO, FM tour, what exactly is the marketing approach going to be?

just doesnt sound that appealing at this point

We'll read all the fans say it was worth the price of admission just to hear Sister's of the Moon or That's Alright.

Speaking as someone who has only seen them live once, I'll gladly go and see them again. I do understand why people may be disappointed but come on, we'll all end up loving it!

Ideally this will be to support a new album but that's highly unlikely. Oh well, I'll still be going!

Just as I did with the "unleashed " tour I will sit this one out.Tours that are done for no purpose whatsoever than to fleece fans out of $ hold no appeal to me.

Oh, I knew Mick's little Playboy move would pin her down. If those boys press her hard enough, there's little she won't do.

If rehearsals are really in January, we won't be getting any new music, which is a bummer. But this might be the last time to see these old fogies.

Depending on where they play, the cost and what else I've got going on at the time I'll probably go. I'd like to see them again. It's a pain if there's no new music and I'd much rather have 40-60minutes of new music to last a lifetime instead of 120-150minutes of old songs that lasts an evening.

I'm not really sure what the point in touring again is. Maybe they'll release BN with a lot of bonus tracks just before the tour (yeah, right...)

If they are not touring behind an album it is purely mercenary.Remember Mick's playboy interview? He needs $$$$$.

I didn't read it. I just got the highlights that he was taking a dig at Stevie for holding them up or something along those lines.

Default Guess we got threads that need merging...

I'm glad they are at least planning on touring - sure better that FM doing nothing!

Hopefully we get something a tad different from the 2009 tour.

I'm glad I have a very vivid memory for things that happened in my childhood/youth.I can see and hear in my minds eye the Tusk tour show that I attended in December 1979 like it was last night. That really helps me resist the temptation to cross Mick's and the others palms for their second in a row cash grab tour.

I think the Buckingham Nicks CD will be released next year for its 40th. It will have a second disc with some new recorded stuff and unreleased tracks. The Mac will add 4 to 5 BN tracks to the live set (including Stephanie)This will be their swan song. This makes the most sense a Buckingham Nicks reunion with the audience and the marketing to sell the Buckingham Nicks cd 40 years later to The Fleetwood Mac fan base.

I'll go if there are:

1. A few Buckingham Nicks songs.

2. At least one (preferably two or more) songs from Mystery To Me

At least tour behind the 40th anniversary of SOMETHING worth celebrating...
(Plus, Stevie singing "Hypnotized" could be amazing.)

Not very if you buy Fleetwood Mac Live, The Dance, or Live In Boston, or a slew of 1982 onward bootlegs, regardless of who's actually in the band.
