The manager of Fleetwood Mac has announced that they are planning to tour in 2011. Lindsey Buckingham says that there just might be a new CD in their future too.

I love how Lindsey bands about "Might" so much that it's lost all meaning. Might could mean within the next year, within the next ten or "not on your nelly". Way to maintain an err of mystery

If they tour next year, I got a few things to ask:

1.Will they touch on some long-forgotten songs?

2.When will they be going to NY?

3.Will my fall 2011 schedule be as good as my spring 2011 one? (no class Mondays and Fridays and on Weds I got one 3-hour class that supposted to be the colloquium for my history minor) If so, if they go to NY in the fall, i could see 'em at a better time

I'm sorry, but if this is true I will be NOT happy. I want solo tours to promote the two new solo albums, and I can only see them touring as a band to promote these records if they're paranoid about not having a big enough following as solo acts. That doesn't seem like Lindsey's style to me and I thought Stevie wanted to tour with Dave Stewart so I am at a complete loss as to why this may happen.

I want fact. This really irritates me.

Sometimes record companies are behind this idea. Interesting that Bryan Ferry tours with Roxy Music while promoting his solo albums... ...

Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks has a new album in the works, which features some tracks with the legendary drummer and a re-teaming with Lindsey Buckingham.

"I played on a chunk of it, and from all accounts I didn't get fired," he humorously notes. "From what I've heard, I believe it's in the best top two things that Stevie has done. She's singing great and she's really excited."

By the way, Fleetwood Mac will not tour next year, but they are "contemplating the beginnings of another Fleetwood Mac album."

It made me smile to see Mick played drums on much of Stevie's solo album. I think it's great they've remained good pals throughout all the crap they've gone through/done to each other/etc.

Blurg. I didn't actually believe it was happening, but I did hope. What on earth was the "manager" talking about? I guess we'll never know, but it was probably just a total fabrication.

And as for a new album: I'm not going to get my hopes up one iota based on this. It sounds pretty flimsy, at best.

Agreed. Buckingham and Nicks both have new solo albums in the pipeline. Fleetwood Mac toured just last year. And they have no new album to promote. Common sense dictates that FM would be taking '11 off for at least 3 different reasons .
