Default Spin-off: What's the "nerdiest" thing about you?

(Inspired by Marissa's foreign film thread)
I never took a relative to the prom or anything, so I'd have to say it's that I am perfectly happy & sometimes enthralled watching any number of PBS historical documentaries.

If there's European History on TV, i'm there. If there's a French film on TV or if it's just been released in theaters(especially if Catherine Deneuve is in it), i'm there. I like Fleetwood Mac. I'm I've been known to screw my friends over and sit home listening to Fleetwood Mac and watching documentaries and French films (they yell at me). Unlike most my age, I don't like to party. In high school I was on the bowling team, in choir, and I was in the culture club (not the band, Jake, because I know you'll go there..lol). I may not look like your typical nerd, but for those reasons and more, I am

I did debate for a year in high school. Jason, were you the one who recently posted that you did, too?

We need a smiley that shakes it's head instead of nods. I saw that one coming from a mile away. I think you can add King of Song Parodies to your nerd profile

We didn't have a debate team but had there been one, I most likely would have been on it.

I don't really think all of these things are dorky, but my friends certainly think so *sigh*.

I like Fleetwood Mac, U2, Blondie, Heart, The Police, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, Jefferson Airplane, etc. And most people my age have not even heard of them. I'm extremely into audio-visual stuff. I wear a lot of vintage (or vintage-looking) clothing, and it's all black. I like dying my hair different colors. I wear mis-matched earrings. I have a huge Garfield collection. I only watch Bands Reunited, What Not to Wear, and old TV shows like Roseanne, Cheers, Get Smart, The Drew Carey Show, etc. I have more records and CDs than my parents do. I like English, Literature and Art more than most of the kids I know. I could go on and on and on... lol.

I was the same way. Nothing wrong with that at all though

1. i watch The Bold & The Beautiful. generally i'm not a soaps viewer, prior to this, i only followed Dallas and Dynasty back in the 1980's.
it started in 1996, when i was working with 3 girls who were all addicts and were discussing the series all the time, so when i saw it on tv, it was really easy to sink in coz i had the contexts already, so depending on my schedules over the years, i've been following it ever since, sometimes i'd catch an episode per week, but if my schedule allowes me, my motivation would be to watch the whole 6 episodes.
as embarresing as it may be, watching series that my grandma watches as well can be great, i try visiting her when it's on, so i can watch it with her and i don't have to communicate with the old bag other then on commercials breaks.

2. i bouget them many years ago, and i don't expect to ever listen to them again, but i still have them. michael bolton's first 6 albums.

OK!! Everybody raise their right hand and swear they won't laugh....Got 'em up??....OK....the 'nerdiest' thing about me is....I am a closet "Diamondhead"....Yes....I confess...I like Neil Diamond...I think he's one of the most prolific and amazing songwriters ever.

Well, actually let me clarify. I'm talking pre-Jazz Singer. Songs like Brooklyn Roads...Brother Love's Travelin' Salvation Show...Shilo...Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon...Stones...all the great classics...Very cool stuff if you give it a listen

Uh. . . I like Neil Diamond too. And I even like the Jazz Singer error. How can you beat "Hello Again?"

And I may possibly somewhere have a Barry Manilow CD or two. (Pre-Copacabana days) Hey, he was a big star when I was in grade school! He sang tender ballads. And I didn't know what gay was back then.

There may be an ABBA record or two in my collection.

And possibly John Denver.

Not that I would ever admit any of this.

I was your basic smart-girl geek in school. I didn't even go to my proms!

Dual major in English & Political Science.

Not only do I watch PBS, I even worked for them for awhile!

I can name every single of Elizabeth Taylor's husbands--in order.

I can program my VCR.

I can hook-up any computer and all the little accessories.

I never got over Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights.

I'm fascinated by documentaries.

I read a lot of biographies--last one read was about the 6 wives of Henry VIII.

Wow--I really am a closet geek.

Hehe. A couple? I have all of their remastered CDs, the live album, and abba gold & more abba gold.

The geekiest thing about me is probably my love of older music. It's also one of my favorite things about me so it's all good.

I also know lyrics to a lot of older music. Last night I was singing 'Let's Stay Together' with my youth pastor. So funny.

I can name roughly 77 US Senators...most of them along with their state. If I'm bored, I'll make my friends name a state and I'll tell them the Senators.
