With the exception of the songs with Mick and John, and a couple of others, this album sounds like a continuation of "Under the Skin" to me.

I'm happy to have the old GOS songs finally. I can't judge the new stuff yet by those little clips. But his production makes every song sound like he's singing under water. Or in a cave. Or maybe it's crappy speakers on my laptop?

That's quite possibly what has drawn me to it without even hearing the full version.

The critics seem to all be drawn to TPT as well. I think just about every review has mentioned it so far and it's all been favourable.

I enjoy Time Precious Time. I'm slightly perturbed by the vocals being off rhythm, but I've always loved the manic guitar songs the best and this one seems to fit right into that mold. I really liked the song when he played it live on Rockline.

Out Of The Cradle certainly got great reviews, and if you look back more recently, so did Under The Skin. I believe it was named one of the 50 must hear albums of 2006? My opinion of the album is mixed, but I like what I'm hearing from Gift Of Screws WAY better already.

Well my definition of "lavish" is bob dylan, who was basically named as having the best album of that year by everybody. That's all I mean. I'm sure this will get positive reviews.

My guess is, based on the early reviews, is that this one will not be as acclaimed as Under the Skin.

But I'm not knocking the album. I have to think about it, but it's probably the most consistently pleasurable album I've heard this year.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

Whoa! If the download actually works (it didn't with DYMM) I will never get any work done today. I will be completely useless.

Sorry, but any time I hear the word "precious," it reminds me of Silence of the Lambs.

You weren't seeing things, I saw it too and thought, "WOW, I could have GOS for less than $10.00, and before the cd is even released!"
