Eh, it's not worth getting feathers up, arguing about it.
17 years in the FM online community now for me (although 10 of them weren't very active)

It still annoys me that those lesser members (and yes I know I was just being the devils advocate about Brunning ) don't get the recognition they deserve. Rightly or wrongly they all (with perhaps Brunning's exception) contributed to albums, the sound of the band, the direction the band moved in and the future success (or continuation of that success).

I agree with everyone here that Welch and Burnette were glaring omissions for the HOF induction, but as a die hard Walker supporter I can not ignore his right (or that of the others) to be considered part of the band and a vital part of what it became.

Well, by that, I meant Chili, Steve, David, and I, go back to the 90's, to "Usenet" newsgroups. There was a FM one, and that's where I first got to know them. God, has that REALLY been 16-17 -ish years ago???? FML.

David dragged me over here, when Usenet was losing traffic. I miss Usenet....I used to find the best free porn!!!

Yes I to was from the old alt.music.fleetwoodmac (or whatever it was called) and the rec.whatever.stevienicks. yes it really was about that long ago - I was 22 I think and I'm 39 this year

Usenet is actually still going strong if you want pirated stuff or porn! lol

Well then you have my dated apologies....

My ISP still carries them(I think), but the last few times I tried to look at them(like 2-3 years ago), it insisted I have a password...I called my ISP for assistance, and they had absolutely NO F*CKING CLUE what "Usenet" even was!!!! #youngin's lol

The best way these days is to sign up to something like Usenext which costs I think about 8 or 9 Euro a month but then you can find lots of stuff especially in the music groups where occasionally I found stuff that I couldn't find elsewhere (out of print stuff etc).

Crazy to think how the internet has changed in the past 20 years. I remember doing a computer course back in the mid nineties and getting on the internet for the first time, discovering the CyberPenguin as it was then, and well the rest is history Hell of a lot of things happened since then, but inducting Dave Walker into the HOF isn't one of them!

Yeah, me too. I believe it was David as well that dragged me over here. Still grateful for that.
Actually I wasn't bothered by porn. Guess they knew I wasn't interested in that. I was actually annoyed by all the cursing that was going on. No room for serious FM discussions.
By God..... 17 years since? In 17 years from now, I'll be 78 years of age. Don't know what I'll be like then, but Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac will still be in my heart.
As for Dave Walkers induction in HOF, I've never been aware of his part of the band, so no comments from me. Neither positive nor negative.
Happy new year everybody.

I now remember your name from Usenet. Sorry that I forgot, before.

God, I the last thing I remember there, was this Stevie stalker, named(and I just sat and thought for about 10 minutes, until his name came to me) Bill Gamels*n. Absolutely BAT SH*T STALKER CRAZY. It seems like that's when the wheels were really starting to fall off the FM usenet. I remember checking, months later, and it was pretty much him, with a few others...

Also, remember James P. Nalbandia (JPN)?

Was Bill Gamels*n the guy who tried to tell us that he thought "Spare Me A Little Of Your Love" was derived from "Give a Little Bit" by Supertramp???

I checked fairly recently (past year or two) and he'll still there (he's the only one there). Yeah I think I came towards the end of the newgroup, when it was getting ruined by Bill and other crazies. Eventually I gave up posting there and came over and lurked here for a while.

It was the same as it is here. I remember seeing his name, because it's so unusual(from an American's view).

Yeah, I also lurked (only) here, for a year or two. It seemed so cliquey here, that I was hesitant to jump in(yes, I was far more backwards, back then)...
