Anyway, two isn't many and none of those that you mentioned are neurosurgeons. A Google search of John Wisniewski, M.D reveals little and a similar search on Elfriede Jelinek produces no evidence of a learning disability. A list of three people is hardly what I'd call many. If there are any learning disabled neurosurgeons out there, I would sure as frick want to know about it before I laid on their table. The same goes for any dyslexic anesthesiologists. Unpopular Stevie opinions
great thread idea!
Here are my unpopular Stevie opinions: 1. Street Angel is a really good album. Taken as a whole, it's better than Rock A Little or TOSOTM. 2. Trouble in Shangri-La is great too. But she should have left off the very self indulgent That Made Me Stronger, and used the demo version of Love Is. 3. The only men Stevie was ever truly in love with were Lindsey Buckingham and Joe Walsh. She loved Lindsey, but knew that he loved her more than she loved him, and so used him to some extent. With Joe Walsh, she loved him more, and was very hurt when he dumped her. I also think Stevie was in love with Robin. (I'm NOT implying that they had a sexual relationship...but Stevie was in love with Robin.) 4. The real reason she didn't want to have kids is that it would cramp her style. She was having too much fun in the crazy rock and roll world to take care of her health the way you need to when you're pregnant. 5. I can't stand her hand movements in concert. 6. Stevie was a "Daddy's girl" - spoiled, pampered. During her early days in LA with Lindsey, her parents still sent her money when things got tight. She never knew what it was like to be totally on her own, with no one else to count on. Though I will say - she is not unsympathetic to people who fall on hard times - her sense of empathy is genuine. 7. I don't buy her "I just KNEW I was going to be a famous rock and roll star" line. She wasn't predestined for her life - it was part vocal talent, part songwriting talent, part Lindsey's amazing production talent, part physical beauty, and a lot of luck. |
