Default LB playing live for first time since split

LB is playing at a fundraiser tonight. Interesting to see what he goes with.

agree! i suspect just a few of his acoustic classics, considering it's not his show.

it looks like he's wearing much the same outfit in both the birthday pic and here--- black shirt (and not a V-neck or tee shirt, either!) and black jacket..... symbolic??

I thought he was answering with such class.
But then he lost me when he went political.

I know it was a political event. And I expected
him to be liberal like the majority of celebrities
are. Even so, I am disappointed.

I wish I hadn't even watched the video.

And Lindsey's been a democrat forever, his political statements shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone especially considering the nature of this event to begin with.

He's ALOUD TO HAVE A FREAKING OPINION!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry he offended you for that. Jesus H Christ!!!! Your statement makes me raging angry! This is a mostly two party system in this country chances are he's going to be one or the other, who gives a CRAP! He didn't even say anything that outrageous. Why don't you stop listening to him now? Stop going to football, stop watching movies, stop listening to liberal guitar players. UGH A certain person lost me when he made fun of the handicapped but I have to see him everyday. And when you makes statements like your post you are BEGGING to piss off half the posters here when you make it seem like being liberal which is HALF THE COUNTRY is a huge disgusting sin, It's not.

Really?? John has made political references in the past, like "Oh no, DEFINITELY not Labour" with a face like he just ate a lemon. And he wasn't even at a political event. It sorta surprised me but, you know, it's a free country. I still think he's the greatest bass player ever.

Lindsey was playing at a fundraiser for a democratic candidate. He would need to say SOMETHING to the crowd, and he was on-message for the event. He also made it clear that a big reason he was there was that he was asked by Cameron Crowe, the director, with whom he is good friends and he says "I would do anything for Cameron". You know, loyalty.

Not to mention that Lindsey's made his political views loud and clear before (dedicating Treason to George Bush for example) so really it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that at this political event, he made political statements that revealed his political leanings.

I'll preface by saying that I'm sure I largely disagree with his politics but Lindsey was speaking at political fundraiser and sharing his views - I respect that. I think he addressed what happened with incredible class, given that he was basically stabbed in the back by a "faction" within the band. I agree that this move has indeed damaged the band's legacy.
