Bekka & Bonnie make guest appearance with Allman Bros Band
Last night at the Beacon Theatre, Bekka Bramlett and her mom Bonnie Bramlett made a guest appearance with the Allman Brothers Band (ABB). First Bonnie came out to start the second set with a duet with Gregg Allman on piano on the song "Oncoming Traffic", then Bekka joined for a couple of Delaney & Bonnie & Friends standards "Coming Home" and the Dave Mason penned "Only You Know & I Know". Bonnie continued with blues great John Hammond Jr (still backed by the ABB) on the Robert Johnson classic "Come On Into My Kitchen". Bekka rejoined, along with Susan Tedeschi (Mrs Derek Trucks) for The Band classic "The Weight".
The ABB ended the set themselves with "No One Left To Run With" coming back for an encore with the blues standard "Preachin' Blues" (also covered at one time by Jeremy Spencer with Fleetwood Mac) and the ABB legendary instrumental "Jessica" ended the night.

What a surprise for the audience. I hadn't heard anything new about Bekka since her dad died, much less seen a picture. This is nice.
