I know. I'm impatient too, but this is where you have to just use your willpower. give it a month to actually see some results. I didn't see anything for like 3 months. then, it just kinda fell off.

it helps if you go at it with an attitude of a lifestyle change, rather than a weight lose scheme. you'll see results in other areas of your life, you just have to be open to them.

Yeah, dude, 2 days is not long enough. I'd give it at least 2 weeks.

For the past few days I've been refusing to weigh myself cuz I haven't,....well, you know. What Strand said. I've never had this problem before, I don't know wtf I ate or didn't eat, but it's annoying me to no end. So anyway. Yeah. TMI.

I hear that!! That is why months after I started exercising I am finally seeing results on the scale as well as in clothes. It was tough at first because I'd go get weight and either I'd lost .02 of a pound or had gained, after a week of Nazi-point counting. It was very discouraging.

So I had to stop expecting those fast results and just hold steady with healthier behavior...it's taken a while (because I'm not as strict with the diet as I need to be) But I'm getting there

Haha. I have no willpower. And I'm sorry to say, I had a quarter pounder value meal at lunch today. I'm having one of those days where I just want to kill someone with my bare hands, and if I can't do that...I have to have a burger.

Hmm. My kinda boyfriend has this problem, he's a cancer, too. Except he drinks, not eats. It all makes the same belly. Anyways.

You need to learn some effective coping strategies. First off, you need to do some cardio, it really works off the aggression, or any emotion. Second, deep breathing. Deep, yogic breathing.
Eating is not an effective tool for managing emotions.

**** what a workout I had today.

So get this. My roof is being torn off. So there is a big assed truck with a ramp blocking my driveway. I didn't want to disrupt the workers, and was too dumb to put my pickup on the street last night.

So, I figure I'll just walk to the pool for my swim.

Took 70 minutes to get there. Took 90 to walk back. And I swam a mile. Christ on a crutch are my flippers sore. This little escapade started at 1:50 and I got home at 5:30. The good news is that I will feel justified having a beer tonight at the hockey game. My pal called me, and snagged VIP tix to the Kings game. Plus they are playing the Ducks which means lots of fights.

Oh, and a funny thing happened at the pool. It wasn't of Dugong level craziness. Just an oddity.

It's the new lifeguard. About 6' 2" tall, and the spitting image of that guy on Entourage. With a little of that actor who plays the TV superman thrown in. I don't know either actor's name. The guy who's the star of each show. Anyway, this lifeguard is sniffing me. Hard. Second day in a row. WTF? What do I want with some 20 year old pretty boy? It's bizarre. I thought he was just being nice yesterday, but I haven't been cruised like that in ages. The dude leered at me. Freakish. Figures its someone I would have no interest in. Maybe its the facial hair. He might have a handlebar mustache fetish. Jazzy would love him. That pretty college frat boy type. The guy probably has a super hot dad. If he was there it would be a different story.

Go figure.

I love that you even think of me when scoping out dudes. "Jazzy would like that." "oh, Jazzy would so love him!"

I know. Still having the problem. No pain or disomfort, though, which is weird. Stupid intestines.

No big deal, just get right back on track.

You're right. Although it's easier said than done.

I'm wondering if I should bump up my food intake a little bit. I've been holding steady for weeks now, but I've been exercising more so I'd hoped to start losing again slowly. I know that at a certain point, your body will store fat if you deplete too many calories. I'm taking in between 1200 - 1500 calories a day (between 23 & 25 WW points), but I'm also burning between 300 - 400 calories a day, 5 days a week through exercise. I'll have to PM Theresa to ask more about activity points. A few years ago, WW didn't take activity into account, but they do now. I follow the older method, so maybe I need to update.

Anyway. I haven't gained & I'm excited to say that it's been a year this month since I got the eliptical - still using it regularly, still loving it. I usually get bored with exercise, but not this time.

yes you get between 4-6 activity points I think...I don't know, my scale is at home...but I know you get to add a pretty good little amount of points for exercise.
