On a side note...

My feet keep going numb during cardio...I did some google research on it - and I guess it's somewhat typical on th eliptical...anyone else have this problem??

^ Yes. It comes & goes for me - hasn't happened lately, but when I first started the elliptical it was almost every time. I just try to make sure my feet aren't too arched (keep them as flat as possible) & that my laces aren't too tight, that seems to help a little bit.

Yeah it was much worse when I first started working out again, now it only happens in the last 10 to 15 minutes of my workout. I am going to try the not-so-tight laces - because I do tend to tie the hell out of my shoes...

And lately I make an effort to wiggle my toes and move my feet a bit now and again - it's getting better - but what a pain in the ass...this is the firs time it's ever been an issue for me...

That's the problem with the eliptical I use now - you can't really go backwards..you CAN but the movement is choppy and painful...

I miss the gym precors...all we have at my apartment are Reebok ones...with the arm movements to go with the leg movement...so sadly changing directions didn't help.

I'm just glad to know that this happens to others as well...I was gettin' worried...

Here's the one I got used from the classifieds:

The only suck thing is that mine doesn't have programs, so I have to manually adjust my resistance.

Those are my favorites too but my gym doesn't have them. It has some good ones though that I also like. My feet no longer fall asleep, I think it's the newer, better ergonomically designed machines that took care of that.

No worries Jaz. I was getting frustrated too, but I'm down a total of 8 pounds as of last night. 5 more to go.

That "couch to 5K" running program is awesome, I think it's making a huge difference.

well, I've since lost what I had gained. today I am in a pair of jeans 2 sizes smaller than what I was wearing in June. can't beat that.

and the Couch the 5K is awesome. wait til you get to week 4 or so.
