Thanks for posting, I actually enjoyed reading that interview just because of the interviewer's enthusiasm!

I agree, and he seemed to be much more interested in talking about the new album, and not when Fleetwood Mac would tour again.

Terrific!!
We got our Lindseyisms but overall what a terrific interview! I definitely like the interviewers enthusiasm for Lindsey and his solo stuff.
Thanks for posting.

Oh, that was a lovely interview and I love that he was able to ask Lindsey about specific lines in the new songs.
Even though I thought there wasn't even anyone on the line in the record exec phone calls Lindsey simulated on his DVD, when he's discussing shopping his album around this time and talking to a friend he's had for 20 years who couldn't find a place for him, the feeling, frustration and hurt that comes from those exchanges is very real and I'm sad to think about it. You know, if Tony Bennett got that runaround when he wanted to release a new duets album full of standards, I could understand it. But it's tough to have no one want to take a chance on Lindsey's new stuff that is so innovative. I liked him saying maybe he had control issues, heh? Just maybe. Michele |

"LB: Yeah. (Laughs)." Oh, well. I'd rather have that than some made up cockamamie story.

This is the first person who has ever interviewed Lindsey that really "gets" him!! I love it. I think Lindsey himself was even taken aback a little. I approve of this journalist and he should be sent off again for future LB interviews.
Thanks for sharing!!!

Kind of symbolic, that picture Michele posted. makes me think of the interview subtext- LB getting back to his real roots, his original purpose for becoming a musician. To be heard, to play, to be happy, to be creative.
I know we've heard the "Rumours 2" story a bajillion times and it's a bit of pre-rehearsed wank now, but the underlying premise of most of Lindsey's tales are true. I just like his honesty. The interviewer should definitely be praised for steering the interview in the right direction, and a major kudos for not mentioning Stevie Nicks at all (although I love you Stevie!). Makes me so impatient for Sep 6th, I've delibarately not listened to any of the album tracks.. |
