it looks somewhat uninspired

I agree. When I saw that this was the cover image I was a bit miffed. I mean I like arty photos but this has a yellow cast for what reason?Maybe to inform us that "under the skin" lindsey is jaundice? If you need a liver lindsey, look no further. Seriously, I wanna know why he consented to being yellow and which photographer is responsible for this blasphmy

But in the end, it's only the music that matters.

Let's not forget that Mrs. Kristin Buckingham is a photographer (that's how they met, remember?)...I'll bet she took the photo.

I think that too. And don't forget: we can't judge the quality of that pic, esp the coloring, on a scan and this is screenquality too.

I think the cover is great. I was fearing that it would another album cover of Lindsey holding his Turner M1. (I wasn't much of a fan of the OotC cover, but the album itself is a masterpiece).

He's the same color as the wall. Regardless of the quailty or manner the photo was uploaded to the web, the photo is suffering from a color balance issue. The noise in the shadows isn't holding up well either which shows this was not so well taken with a digital camera in low light. Someone should inform the photographer of the white balance options on the camera. I like the expression just not the composition or balance.

NOt trying to start anything, but this goes hand in hand with my own profession and I just can't beleive what people pass off as photography anymore.

Again, its all about the music anyway.

Not only that, but from what I can see, they have taken every single line out of his forehead, elongated the fake shadow under his chin, and ledt huge bags under his eyes. So, I agree the photo is odd, but I like the pose, etc. Having said that, the worst EVER was CM's pic for "In the Meantime"

No wonder Lindsey's been waiting 14 years to release a new album:

All anyone here wants to do is criticize him. I'd become a recluse, too, if my fans talked that way about me--if they tore apart every little detail. What a strange community of people, who seem to think they could improve everything Lindsey does, yet they can't get enough of him.

If you're reading this, the cover is great, Lindsey. It seems to capture a certain mood that I look forward to hearing soon--even if I already know most of the songs, I am just pleased to know that you are musically happy and able to put forward what you think is your very best work.
