Mark Knopfler & Emmylou Harris: All The Roadrunning
anyone else completely in love with this album? i got it when it was first released, and every time i hear it, i fall more and more in love with it. mark and emmylou's voices are amazing, and it's as if they were meant to sing together. i wish stevie, with her gift for singing duets, would do a collaborative album like this: mellow, beautiful, and with a country flavor. here is a video of mark & emmylou singing "donkey town" in brussels:

do you (or does anyone else) know if those recordings of "the dealer" from 2/17/81 were done with the heartbreakers? also - if you haven't watched the other live videos of mark & emmylou at youtube, you should go do so pronto! they're so good. |

i love and adore this album. so much that i started another thread about it about a month or so ago! but i totally agree - their voices sound like gold together. i love "i dug up a diamond," "donkeytown," "rollin on" and the title track.
