Default Florence and The Machine: How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Has anyone else purchased this. I love the new album. I've become such a fan of hers.

No, but I'm starting to really like Florence. I just happened to take the day off from work today & saw her on GMA, & wow, she is really good. And I saw her on SNL not too long ago. The voice was there, but she was just sitting there. Then I found out about how she broke her foot jumping around @ a show. And then I knew why. She has so much energy & the voice! I think of her as cross between Joss Stone (the bare feet) & a young Stevie Nicks (her distinct voice). I am definitely going to get her new album. I see on iTunes it got five stars. How would you rate it?

I would give it 4 stars out of 5.

It is AMAZING! I've been a fan of theirs since their first album. I was underwhelmed by Ceremonials but this new one is fantastic! I've only listened to it once but loved it immediately.

Yes, Got the Deluxe CD at Target. I like some of the bonus material better than many of the standard tracks. "Ship to Wreck" is the stand out track IMO. Love it. I keep playing it over and over again. I like the song writing on this album, but just find many of the songs kind of underwhelming compared to tracks on the Lungs and Ceremonials Albums. Still a great album and I'm sure the songs will grow on me over time.

Now if she will just announce a tour date somewhere in Florida I'll be happy. Her live show is amazing.

The album is fantastic! I honestly enjoy every song on there. I haven't listened to the Target or vinyl bonus tracks, but I did listen to the deluxe edition online (with Hiding, Make Up Your Mind, Which Witch, ect.) and they are all just so great. For me, there's something on every song that I love. They're all stand-outs imo, but if I had to choose one right now I'd say it's the title track. With orchestra and lyrics, it's just beautiful. This album makes me a full FATM fan.

I love this album!
Was actually listening to it last week on my way to the Fleetwood Mac concert in Cologne.

After "Ceremonials" this is a very welcoming, more stripped down, but nevertheless wonderfully produced and arranged album. I love this new approach.

My absolute favourite is "Queen Of Peace", such a wonderful song!!!

When I was on vacation last week, I drove 45 minutes to the closest Target & purchased the Deluxe CD. I got to listen to 11 of the 18 songs coming back home. And I've listened to the rest since then. I hear Ship to Wreck & What Kind of Man all the time on the radio & I love them both. I really like the whole CD with just one run-through. I course some songs stood out to me @ the first run-through, Delilah & Pure Feeling. I see it's #18 on the Billboard 200. Is it too early to think a Grammy nomination somewhere?
