I don't know if her pre '75 songs were better, but I sure seem to prefer them. She seemed to have more soul... and was definitely more mystical. I think she gave up that part of herself when Buckingham-Nicks joined. She just became too polished after '75 too.

Here are some of my all time favs, in no particular order:

Why
Prove Your Love
Did You Ever Love Me
Remember Me
Dissatisfied

I like Christine's songs from all versions of Fleetwood Mac. But what I really like is how -- in the 1975-1977 era -- her older songs were performed live when they got the "Buckingham/Nicks" treatment.

I love hearing how they performed:
Get Like You Used To Be
Why
Believe Me
Spare Me A Little

I can only speculate what many of her other older songs would have sounded like if re-interpreted by the Rumours era line up.

Wow...that would require a very sophisticated time warp machine.

Once I compiled all her pre-rumours band songs for a friend, and she loved it. I did too. It was like a great Christine McVie album that never was.

I have that album too. I agree, it's a great one. Did you burn the songs in chronological order, or make an attempt to "sequence" it, the way a real record might be sequenced?

I don't think I've ever heard Believe Me in 1975-1977... is there such a thing?

The other week, I went to iTunes, to see about doing just this. Well, they basically have none of them!!! I literally found zero pre-BN songs. Fie!

With a couple of exceptions I'd take her pre-BN stuff any day. It was real music without the sweetness.
Wait a moment... aren't you the person that tried to justify Time as being a good album?
Admittedly I can't comment on Time, as I've never listened to it, but I'll still say that your opinion is completely invalid and worthless.
Harmless (I assume) joking aside, I've only heard a few songs of Christine's from pre-Rumours on Selections From 25 Years - The Chain, but they're certainly beautiful! But more than from the Rumours era? I need more evidence... fortunately, Mystery To Me and Heroes Are Hard To Find are making their way over to me from the UK soon, which is a start...
