Lindsey's vocals - Not always clear

It can be sufficiently justified as simply being Lindsey's 'style', but it is curious how so many of his tracks feature near unintelligibly sung vocals, in particular for those who aren't accustomed to him.
I gave a mate of mine a listen to Tango in the Night once and he said "yeah that's interesting, but the voice is pretty hard to understand." And I thought that was one of the 'clearer' ones!

I realised that one of the reaons I like Peacekeeper so much is that I can clearly understand every word!! Keep it up boy!

Lindsey's always sounded pretty clear. Just a couple artists that come to mind as being hard to decipher are Michael Stipe of R.E.M. (their early stuff especially) and Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish (love the guys voice but the faster songs of his are tough to understand sometimes). Once in a while I'll visit a websire of a favorite artist and look through the lyric section and find I've been singing some of the words wrong for years, it almost makes it like hearing the song again for the first time

I find Lindsey's vocal clear, more clear than Stevie's and Christine's.

I think the clarity of his vocals are a lot better than some of the artists out there. Although I do hope that if "Given Thing" is on the new album, the vocals will be somewhat improved upon!

I think sometimes it is hard to tell what he is saying but I feel it is because he has a lot of instrumental and voice machines that distract you from what he is saying.

*agrees* I find it much easier to understand Linsdey's vocal, when he sings live.
