Better than the dog thats for sure but they have so many nice outtakes a color photo outtake would've been better. Oh well it is what is it is. Thanks for sharing. I'd still want to get it sometime though.

Jimi Hendrix, Tom Petty and More Classic Rockers Highlight Record Store Day 2016
By Michael Gallucci March 8, 2016 3:33 PM

Dozens of classic-rock releases are on tap this year for Record Store Day next month, including albums, EPs and singles by Tom Petty, Jimi Hendrix, Cheap Trick and David Bowie.

The full list of records available at the day-long event on April 16 was revealed today, and while the releases span genres (country, pop and hip-hop are all represented) and formats (10″ EPs, 12″ picture discs), there’s plenty of classic-rock albums spread throughout the three main categories: exclusives, limited releases and firsts.

Among the releases are Hendrix’s 1969 Smash Hits compilation, featuring alternate cover art; a single featuring two brand-new songs by Mudcrutch, Petty’s side band, which will release a new LP later this year; a complete version of Cheap Trick’s famous Budokan concert; and three separate Bowie items, including I Dig Everything – The Pye Years 1966, which includes some of his earliest recordings.

Other classic-rock faves like the Doors (Live at the Aquarius: The First Performance ), Fleetwood Mac, ([Alternative] Tusk), Creedence Clearwater Revival (1969 Box Set) and Metallica, whose Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, Metallica! – Live at Le Bataclan. Paris, France – June 11th, 2003 was previously announced. The metal giants are also Record Store Day’s official ambassadors this year.

Record store. What the heck is that.Only kidding.

Now the CD shops are going away because of Itunes.

I love that cover.I'm glad the LPs are coming back.I always enjoy looking at the artwork and reading the liner notes without a magnifying glass like I use looking at CD's.

No way. I much prefer the original album cover. The original album cover is the wrapping paper of songs that were non-traditional in rock and pop coming after the most successful album in history. It holds up after time too. Those cheezy ceiling effects were ground breaking in 1979 but not today. Now another Tusk photo shoot like the one of the TUSK poster would be another story.

I get your point about the cheesy effect of the pic, but at least potential buyers can see pictures of the band, not some stupid picture of some dog biting some man's foot.

I rather see all 5 on cover then the dog.If it was a black cat .I would love it.LOL.They could of flown their photogs out to the jungle and take beautiful scenery shots of elephants with long tusks

BTW .Whos dog was that.I forgot.

That pix is OK but I would like to see others from that shoot.

But don't you agree the entire album was a rebel yell
the music
the anti music industry establishment
the double album
the artwork
the freaking name of the album LOL

With all these rebel qualities the album cover pretty much fits IMHO It adds mystery to the entire album. Who is this? Pick it up and take a look. A dog biting a foot is so rebel yell and is so fitting. The irony of Lindsey pulling the group towards a new direction.
Its aggressive
Its eye catching
And sums up the energy of the album
