It just cracked me up... the minute I saw Denver, Colorado, I thought, oh ****, Chris is in trouble. LOL!

couldnt catch a COLD more less solve a crime...Hell, I cannot think of the last time I saw the local po-lice do anything except sit on their duffs (And I'm not talkin' bout Hillary's either )

But they are sure good at scaring the living **** outta Debbie & myself...One night we were coming home after shopping when we passed one of the local po-licie with his search light on something, But we thought he may have caught someone prowling around...Well as we are unloading the groceries from the car we hear 3 gunshots, So we became worried and called the po-lice dept and tell 'em what we heard (Thinking maybe the officer may have been shot). Well the dispatcher had me on the line and I heard her ask the officer over the radio if he was alright since someone called saying someone fired off 3 shot, He was alright, He just was wasting his bullets by shooting an unarmed skunk

Man, That Barney Fife should've won the distinguished "Glazed with sprinkles" award for being an ab-so-lute f**k-tard!!!!

he thought the smell was similar to his wife, Who knows

This town has a high turn over-rate in the PD (Lack of funds or lack of chocies for donuts Who knows )...

I think someone reported the smell and this "excuse for a public servant" thought what he was doing was humane.

Yeah, Humane my dimpled ass!!!

Um, are people in Oklahoma aware of what skunks do? You can't kill something because of it's natural (smelly) defense mechanism. How absurd.

"Bubba/Billy Bob" type...They apparently do not comprehend the concept of a skunk, But they do comprehend that donuts + police officer= "dunlap disease" (As in the following example-"My belly 'dunlap' over my waist line")

I guess learning about skunks would get in the way of the eatin' and shootin'...

NOT to anyone's surprise--I have a few on mine: "Love the whole world. No exceptions." and "If you're not outraged, you haven't been paying attention."
And: "I love my country but fear our government."

Try driving around with that on your car in the middle of South Carolina! And oh yeah, having them plastered on a high-end luxury car really makes people around here do a double-take, because it plays with their narrow, bigoted minds because you're not supposed to be affluent, and white, and a liberal in these parts! I actually had someone who I thought better of exclaim to me recently, "How can you be a Democrat? You're WHITE!" Shocking, but true. Anyone who doesn't think that Repugs play the race card has never been to the South.

Back before the election, I was driving my car on the Interstate and I had my Kerry/Edwards stickers (2 of them) plastered on the back of my car and I passed this beat-up-piece of **** car which had a huge "mural" of Christ on the cross on the back window of the hatchback. And several "Jesus Saves" sayings on the bumpers. Later on, the guy passed me and let's just say that by the look he was giving me he:

a) had never seen a liberal in his life
and
b) wanted me to go to the hell he was no doubt sure I was destined for as soon as possible.

Not getting "The Word" now was he?

Up here my family (mom and dad) has always been democrat. Grandpa was a teamster and my Dad has pretty much always held a union job. They were the party looking out for the little guy so I've always been told. I did keep an open mind though when it was my turn to vote. I have just never identified with Repubs and never voted for them.

Why oh why is liberal synonymous with evil in their minds?

Same here-my dad was a union guy-he worked for the railroad. And my Mom brought me up to idolize the Kennedys! Now here's the interesting part-my parents are both Southern Baptists--but as they interpret the Bible, they believe that Jesus taught us to care for our fellow man,and they just believe that the Democrats ideals speak more to that than the GOP and brought me up to believe the same. But they find themselves biting their tongue a lot in church and in social settings, as I do, because of the whole brainwashing that the GOP has done here in the South. Someone actually said in my Mom's Sunday School that you couldn't be a Christian if you voted for John Kerry because he supported Abortion & Homosexuality! I honestly don't know how the Democrats are ever going to be able to take our country back with the brainwashing that the Repugs have done on such a wide swath of our population!

My parents are for the most part moderate. They believe in gun control but not getting rid of all guns - they support the right to chose - they suport for the most part civil unions though at their age they still do not understand why anyone talks about sexuality at all in polite company - they think aff. action ought to be based on poverty and not abolished - they support the war in Iraq, but think Bush botched it up.

So, that is pretty middle of the road if ya ask me. They did, hoever, both vote for W
