it has to do with the fact that during the 80's that Journey was a somewhat musical rival to FM...Who knows I always liked some of their music regardless.

No, Journey's just teh lame. Although I do like some of their songs, they're hella cheesy. Overrated, in my opinion.

Next to Fleetwood Mac and Queen...Journey was one of my favorites when I became one of the record buying public at age 12!
I saw the latest evolution of Journey this past September and they were great and I can't wait to see them this summer!
I was so glad Steve Perry showed up as I guess he heard Neal Schon on a radio program stating he hoped Steve would come. I was surprised that everyone was there from previous line ups except for one missing Journeyman Greg Rolie! I wonder why he wasn't there as he was a big part of the band even selecting his replacement .

Oh, it's not just Journey.

I hate all those arena rock bands from the '70s/'80s...Foreigner, Journey, Boston, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, etc.

The caterwauling male vocalists with the crispy hair and the tight jeans, the loud, cloying, obnoxious guitar solos...ick, ick, ick.

FM is considered an arena rock band... I get your point though.
I will never not be happy when Wheel in the Sky comes on, that's all I can say... and i believe Dust in the Wind was one of my first favorite songs...

No way. I've never put FM in the same category with Boston, Journey, Foreigner, and the others. Huge difference, as far as I'm concerned.

That's what they were considered, though, regardless. I still see your point, though.
