I donated. This show is 10 minutes from my house and I haven't been able to find decent seats yet. It would be uber cool to win this! Great cause too.

It doesn't say anything about "flying you out" or "plane tickets", etc...

So if the winner lives in Vermont, they would be responsible for plane tickets or (yikes) hundreds of dollars in gas money (with a three to four day drive) to San Diego?

Lame.

It's a GREAT cause...and everyone should donate, regardless. But you'd think they'd at least team up with an airline to spring for the price of plane tickets?

That's COMPLETELY different. Mick's meet and greet is EVERY concert in EVERY town and it's not a contest. You actually purchase his meet and greet.

This is an actual contest to WIN a meet and greet with Stevie Nicks...and it's a "one time only" thing. This isn't happening in other cities.

Yes but many Stevie fans are willing to go to great lengths for one off Stevie events...Remember when Stevie planned the Webster Hall show and fans were coming from all over the country? This is a one off Stevie event. When was the last time Stevie offered a M&G that included FM tickets and a hotel room with VIP treatment? If the package were for CM or LB would you go? Each fan has their own level of dedication and some will find the opportunity too great to pass up if they win.

I just pulled a pair of row 11 seats on the side of the stage for this show, so I got them. If I'm lucky enough to win the contest, I'll try to sell them. This venue in particular has been tough getting decent seats for this time around, so I'm glad I did it.
Also, a writer for the San Diego newspaper contacted me and said he'd like to revisit my proposal story from the last tour, so of course I obliged. (this was the same venue I proposed at.)
I'll let you guys know how that pans out.
