Bob isn't exactly the King of diction, so I can believe that!

And I remember People's review of Wild Heart making fun of her arrhythmic countoff of Enchanted.

I wonder if $he'd been ugly, if we'd even be having this conversation? Seriously...

Madonna got pretty far on average looks and a middling singing voice as well as a horrific lack of acting ability .Being in the right place at the right time and knowing what to do with yourself and how to manipulate others can count for a lot.

So you're saying that if Lindsey hadn't insisted that they were a package deal, that we'd have never heard of her? And that $he'd still be a waitress?

She was about to throw in the towel when they got the call from Dick..she probably could have gone back to school and at least been an elementary school teacher.

Is she really smart enough for that? She's pretty ditzy.

I find the presence of Candlebright, Love Is Like a River, and The Dealer baffling here, to say the least. As for WISYA, always a favourite of mine, it is the song that really brought me back to Stevie fandom after years of ignoring her after BD.

Agree. WISYA is supposed to have that tension and angst. And she's good at making me feel the longing in this song. I feel the pain.

You’re hilarious. I don’t think Stevie would really have the patience for multiple kids.

I think she would’ve continued to perform somehow, someway. It’s in her blood, even if fame eluded her. Maybe she would’ve ended up being a background singer. Maybe she would’ve lived Sharon’s life.

Sirius had a Johnny Carson channel for the month of March and it really floored me. I don’t think they had the rights to stream music, but you heard the singers’ interviews. And you knew what was going to happen to these people. It was like time travel. I was listening to Mama Cass and she was talking about the string of health problems she had just endured. It gave me chills thinking about it, knowing what would happen soon. California Dreamin’.

Yes, there is definitely an interview where she says she got Lindsey to harmonize with her on the ending and then she removed her own vocal without his knowledge so it would just be him singing. I will see if I can find it and edit this post.
