Default The Coffee Plant Demos

I'm not sure how genuine these are. I have them, and it's several remastered versions of Sorcerer, Goldfish and the Ladybug, Without You, Nomad, That's Alright, Garbo, and Cathouse Blues. These are legit BN demos (well I'm not sure when Cathouse Blues was written), but it sounds to me they've just been cleaned up with different levels brought up or down (for instance, one version would be acoustic vocal, one would have the bass turned up). I'll tell you one thing though - the quality of the demos is EXCELLENT.

Default I have these demos

Hi, the demos are are only Stevie's songs. Are there any recordings of songs that Lindsey has recorded in his dad's plant???

I will never know...

Anyway, Stevie's songs on this CD are:

Without You
Nomad
Sorcerer
Cathouse Blues
You Could Forget...Garbo!
Goldfish and the Ladybug

There are 2 versions of all songs.
Some have only vocal, others have bass and drum, some are electric. They are good.

Thumbs up I have the demos...

from both Mirage & Rumours and IMO the Mirage demos are of a better quality (The Rumours demos on Cd are a good quality but could use a little noise reduction to reduce the hiss from the tape source)...But I think the Tusk demos sound better than both the Rumours & Mirage...Brian J.

PS-Here is part of my trade site where you can find the Rumors, Tusk & Mirage demos:

Sounds like those are all the "Almanac" songs that everybody's had forever. I think somebody heard that Stevie & Lindsey four-tracked a bunch of songs at his dad's coffee plant late at night & then heard that the "Almanac" songs were from the Buckingham Nicks years, & just decided that therefore these should be called the "Coffee Plant" demos. People are so resourceful!

I agree with Nancy that these "variations" are just futzed with electronically to make them sound different by emphasizing or de-emphasizing different aspects.
