Question Question about opening night in Columbus - fans allowed to come up to the stage?

Did security allow fans to come up to the stage and stand at right at the stage during the show, like the band has allowed during the past few tours?

I was wondering that too? I have never been up close at a show this big and I have 4th row floor seats this time. How does it work can you get right up? Can I shift to the middle.. I am off to the side a bit?

Did they? I didn't see that in Dallas 2009, nor in NYC 1997

On the previous two tours I went to, I had very close up floor seats. I knew in advance that the band was permitting fans to stand at the stage, so I just walked up and stood at the stage. As did quite a few other fans. But you couldn't just come up from 20th row - you had to have seats very close up to be able to access that area.

So I'm wondering if the band is allowing this tradition to continue on this tour.

Thus my question about opening night in Columbus.

BTW, in case you're wondering why I decided to ask this question in a separate thread: I don't want to see any spoilers about set list before I attend the show I have a ticket for!

Yes, that was my experience in Seattle area in 2004. And Atlanta in 2009.

And it was definitely the case in many other cities, based on what I read here.

But I suppose it could have been different in different cities, so perhaps the shows you saw were different based on a unique local venue policy.

Yes, they came up.

About 20 minutes before the show started, yellow-shirted security came out and made everyone sit down and I thought that they would stay there through the night. No such luck. As soon as the lights went down everyone was allowed up to the stage. And people took as many pictures they wanted with their phones as well.
