But shouldn't it happen organically, with the fans who are naturally there and not randos handpicked from the crowd to show "enthusiasm."

Exactly Michele. I know die hard fans who paid good money for VIP and weren't let up to the front. It's disgusting and a slap in the face to all of us who work very hard for tickets.
If Lindsey is that insecure maybe he needs to reevaluate his life and make some changes. Sorry but I think his Big Love speeches are a bunch of BS

Default well..

I was at the DC show last night - awesome rock and better than the first DC show - and I could see everyone in front of the stage from where I was standing. It sure did look like a lot of young woman right in front of Lindsey. However, it seems like Lindsey played to the center of the stage a lot more. He was incredible and, once again, received an amazing applause from the crowd when he finished "I'm So Afraid." Now that was rock and roll - my favorite from the concert.

Big thanks to the great DC crowd - I also like how the band said a couple of times they were glad to be back in Washington and seemed very appreciative of the support. Going out to watch some college basketball and will proudly be wearing my newly purchased FM World Tour Varsity Jacket. I can't wait to see my favorite band again!!

I've seen them twice before with my mom and we had nosebleeds but had the time of our lives. I went by myself this last time and spent $200 on a floor seat and had a stroke of luck that night. I bought tickets to 2 more of their shows that are still coming up. Please don't assume that because of our appearance, we can't appreciate the band's history, chemistry, etc. I may be only 23 but my love for FM runs down to my bones and I would only hope that maybe those of you might be happy for such strong fans to have an experience like that. I know I am, even for other girls.
But what if you were a 23 year old man who had a deep love for Fleetwood Mac too? If they too were able to have the experience it would be fair game. But they are not and that is one of the reasons people are upset.

Well, if the women in the audience are with men, they let the men come up too.

So, if you are a 23 year old man, nab yourself a hot girlfriend!

Just curious...how many songs are left in the show when the girls are placed in the front row?

Yeah I think you just have to ask. One of the girls brought up with me brought her boyfriend up too. They didn't ask him to come up or offer, but they were ok with it once she asked. And another time I was brought up, they let us bring up my friend's 40 something year old mom with us as well.
I really don't think it's a dirty thing or a thing based solely on appearance. I've been brought up at multiple shows now. And I'm not "hot or blonde".
They just want young people to make it more exciting and fun up there. And there's a point there. I think of shows I've been to at casinos where everybody at the front was 50+ and had comp seats. No matter how big the act is, it kind of feels like you're just sitting at a piano bar if there's nobody standing up, singing along, screaming, clapping, dancing, etc. It's an entirely different experience when there is a lot of excitement at the stage. So I definitely get why they bring young people up, and I'm glad that to make it somewhat fair, they don't bring any of us up until everybody in the front made it up and got their spot at the stage first. However I also think it would be a lot more ethical if they allowed more than just the first row up there. Like maybe 1-3, or 1-5.

I love you ladies ^ ^ ^ , BUT quit hatin!! As if this hasn't been done for years with Zep, ACDC, RS , the WHO, VH, all those 80s Glam Bands and many many others. Its the nature of the business and even more the nature of the Man Beast!! (I mean, come on, look at LBs album covers, NOT a bad one in the bunch, the SOB makes Tom Brady look ugly)

So, here's how I see it. You're looking at the video of the performance and you see a bunch of old guys and gals like US dressed in our best faux Nicks attire or YOU see a bunch of young hotties fawning at LB (thank GOD not Mick, yikes )...........and they're all excited that THEIR ROCK GOD is giving them a lil attention (and hes excited to GET IT BACK= Manhood). IT still is the music business after all... Emphasis: Music Business!!!

Why does Taylor Swift (cough!!) have young hot guys in her vids?? Because no one wants to see old ugly ones!!

I disagree, all those bands you mention above did not charge $750 for vip tickets in the first few rows and then bring 20+ people into that same section. Yes, allowing hot girls up front is an age old practice in rock and roll, but this is completely different when you are charging your fans a lot of money for an experience and soiling the experience by giving it away to a large crowd of people night after night. Lets see what happens in montreal. If they do it tonight (i know someone tied to the band is aware of what happens on this board) if it happens tonight then the band is saying F-U to the fans that are complaining....and laughing all the way to the bank.
